It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

Police in Cebu, Philippines are concerned about 61 Black Americans marching in a Cebu subdivision

What Cebuano police report about them
Police Major Mark Don Alfred Leanza, chief of the Minglanilla Police Station, said that at least 61 foreign nationals were seen in the video.

They claim to be members of “Those in Need of the Father,” reportedly a religious group.

Leanza said that the 61 foreigners marched out of the subdivision so as not to disturb other homeowners while in worship. They chose to go to an upland area for a spiritual service while their place of worship in Talisay City is "undergoing renovation."

Wait... did these guys tell the police 'we were just LARPing bro'?
The group of foreigners notified reportedly the management of the subdivision that on March 4, 2025 they reenacted what is deemed as a popular theme – medieval fantasy, a subgenre of fantasy – in their event.

Sorry for double posting. Yet another TikTok trend has hit the second tower as retards record themselves seasoning and eating packaging peanuts

(It is a Vice article so it’s written in the most braindead way imaginable)
The idiot who wrote the article claimed they're made of styrofoam, even though the article says they're the plant-based starch, so technically edible. I wouldn't trust them to be food quality though. I have actually eaten a couple of these when I found out what they were made of, since it sounded like they should be edible. They are, but I wouldn't recommend it. They'll dissolve in water or in your mouth, the texture just sucks and there's no flavor at all.

Anyway, it's not completely insane, but it's on the "niggers eating cornstarch" level.

A transgendered Muslims sounds like an oxymoron.

I always have to share articles about my favorite critters of all time. This is a short one

A couple of friends come across a giant Pacific octopus on their hike in Washington
Unfortunately I can’t embed the video but you can watch it here

If you are hiking off the coast of northern Washington and exploring tidepools, the last thing you would probably expect to find would be a giant Pacific octopus swimming around in it! But a group of lucky hikers was in the right place at the right time last week, and that's exactly what they found in Bellingham, Washington.

ABC7 Chicago News shared a video on Facebook on March 7th that was filmed by Micah Moeller. It shows Moeller and his friends experiencing both disbelief and excitement as the eight-armed cephalopod swam in just a few feet of water in the calm tidepool. But it didn't stick around long (no pun intended)!

ACB7 said in the video's caption, “The giant Pacific octopus can grow to nearly 20 feet across, and is found throughout the northern Pacific Ocean, its habitat extending from Korea to Mexico, according to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.” I'm not sure how big this one was, but it looked pretty big!

Viewers were delighted by the video and left nearly 9 thousand comments about it. I couldn't agree more with @Canna Nana who said, “Thanks for leaving it alone! Just enjoy nature as you see it.” @Haley Marie felt the same way, “Notice how they remain away from it, don’t try to touch it or pick it up, and appreciate it from a distance. That’s nice to see.”

Cool Facts About the Giant Pacific Octopus

Some commenters mentioned how scared they be if they were in the same situation. But according to American Oceans this cool color changing animal is not a dangerous one, “The Giant Pacific Octopus is not generally regarded as a dangerous octopus, unlike its counterpart the Blue-Ringed Octopus.”

The giant Pacific octopus is the biggest in the world, with an average length of 16 feet. They weigh in at 110 pounds and could easily attack a human if they chose to. Fortunately for the most part, they are known to be shy and usually friendly towards us.

With the exception of the blue-ringed octopus, all octopuses (yep, that's the correct plural form!) bite with their large beaks and inject venom, but the venom is not fatal. Only the blue-ringed octopus could kill a human with one of its venomous bites. Octopuses' have suckers (“suction cups”) on the arms that can become dangerous if they lock onto a human and would be very difficult to try to remove if they didn't want you to.

I scuba dived for many years, and I was always on the lookout to find an octopus. I never did, but it would have been an incredible experience to swim with one in the wild!

This of course is potentially good news depending on if you trust The Science™️ or not. Think of the norovirus as the worst food poisoning you’ve ever had in your life but multiplied by 10, that hand sanitizer doesn’t even touch.
If you've ever had this you know it's true. It was the sickest I'd ever been (other than double pneumonia as a small child that I don't even remember). It was basically three days straight of simultaneously puking and shitting, being too weak to even get up instead of literally crawling from bed to bathroom and back again, and having to drink water constantly, not because I could even keep it down but to have something to throw up instead of having agonizing dry heaves.

I'd honestly take COVID-19 over it or the worst flu I ever had any day.

I just went through it and actually lost a couple pounds of water weight from the amount of purging I was doing. Was sleeping curled up on the bathroom floor when I wasn’t sitting on the toilet with a trash can crying because of how much pain I was in
Days later I still don’t have much of an appetite and have to force myself to drink water and eat some soup

Can only imagine how devastating it must be to an older person with poor health and limited mobility. I truly do hope this vaccine is legit and it can be rolled out within the next couple years after more testing

Get probiotics back in you asap. That shit messes you and your symbiotes up pretty bad.

Trump admin reconsiders proposal to protect monarch butterfly

The Trump administration said Tuesday that it is reconsidering adding protections to the monarch butterfly as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is reopening the public comment period for 60 days to help evaluate if the insect is likely to become at risk of extinction in the foreseeable future.

“Everyone can play a role in saving the monarch butterfly,” the FWS in a press release. “Because of the species’ general habitat use and wide distribution, all sectors of society have an opportunity to participate in a broad range of conservation efforts throughout the butterfly’s range.”
The move comes five years after the first Trump administration declined to give the monarch butterfly protections. At the time, the FWS said it needed to devote its resources to higher-priority species.
About 61 species were given a higher priority than the monarch on the waiting list for protections.

Monarch butterflies are known for their impressive long-distance migration and large clusters they form while overwintering in Mexico and coastal California. Once abundant, monarch butterfly populations have been steadily declining since the mid-1990s due to several threats, according to the agency.

By 2080, the probability of extinction for eastern monarchs ranges from 56 percent to 74 percent, and the probability of extinction for western monarchs is greater than 95 percent, the service explained.

Planting native milkweed and flowers are essential to sustaining the butterflies.

Come on Trump, DO IT FOR WORMY!

Also I had no idea there was actually a long and complicated process to add any creature to the endangered species list.
When I was a kid I remember these guys were quite common…the last time I saw one was a couple years ago in an ally with its wings crumpled up 💔
