lol, she worked out at seedy ass pay by the week or month “hotel” in the hood. It’s accommodations for sketchy ppl, drug dealers, hookers and people who just got their SSI checks.

I was actually stunned to see a white, English speaking woman working as a hotel maid.

For the past decade, at hotels even in fucking Midwest Ohio and Indiana, I haven’t seen a single English speaking, American citizen hotel maid. (No shame, they are very nice Asian and Latina type women and they work hard, but fresh off the boat and no English) Then again those were all corporate run hotel operations, things are very different at the weekly-rate crackhead hotels. They aren’t going to be holding Squid to any corporate conduct policy. I figure only proof she stole someone’s stash while cleaning a room could cause trouble, if she didn’t split the take with the manager or owner.

Ever watch “Live PD” ? It was a running joke that in certain towns 50% of content were repeated calls to the same seedy motel. That’s the type of hotel Sydd works for. Motels for people whose second homes are the county jail and the homeless shelter.

What is she supposed to do? Loudly scream and wail while giving out her cash app details?

She’s probably been sitting in a hospital for the last 36 hours. Being in a hospital waiting room, or in her mom’s hospital room, feels downright luxurious compared to car-home living. Even better people are being really nice to her, both IRL and online, it’s probably a really weird experience for her.

Tophia doesn’t exactly get the warmest treatment IRL around town as her big stinky self scrounges free meals, drinks or tries to use bathrooms. Regularly having a dirty, elderly woman with a loud hacking cough in tow doesn’t help matters any. The most she hopes for is to not be noticed, confronted or asked to leave.

But as a woman who’s keeping a vigil by her mother’s bedside, after her brother was murdered, not only is she allowed to be at the hospital but all these respectable people (nurses, doctors, cops, social workers, etc..) are treating her with genuine kindness. Hell, even people online are being super nice to her! Sure Brotherchu is dead, and mom has been shot, but she’s got a nice clean space indoors to stay and everyone is being so very nice and helpful! It has to be a surreal experience for her. Tophia is not accustomed to kindness from strangers IRL or online. (Tophia’s brain right now)

Tophia is not an emotional person, she would have been dead or insane by age 12 if she didn’t develop an armor plated hide. Anger, sadness and frustration would make up the majority of her allowable emotional spectrum. She’s used to people being cruel and shitty, but not kind and solicitous.

Tophia would have attended a IRL public middle and high school in the Albuquerque ghetto. She grew up with a schizophrenic father and probably in a variety of homeless shelters, foster placement and HUD housing. The woman was numbed to life’s cruelness, indignities, insanity, indifference and tragedies a long fucking time ago. She just keeps trucking, she’s dumb as a rock but also as tough as one too.

This is why Tophia could get TikTok famous for being an ugly, fat, foul woman. Nothing online trolls and mobs do can even register as a big deal compared to what real life has done to her. Some women are sensitive, fragile flowers but Tophia is more like a muddy boulder.

It’s not a fun pill to swallow but most victims of crimes like murder aren’t paragons of virtue themselves. Trash has a tendency to interact with trash. Being the victim of a crime doesn’t absolve someone of their numerous character flaws.

This is the real question, or even more pointedly how will news arrive whether or not Mamachu survives or dies? If she dies presumably the same news sources follow up on it bc that makes the criminal charges worse, but if she lives is Tophia just gonna have to blurt that out for us eventually?

You could have been in another roach motel if you just worked like people told you for 5 months because you make nothing on TikTok. She was never successful, just successful enough to pay week to week in a motel which would have kept them off the streets but she didn't want to and said recurrently that she COULD do that, but did not want to. So how is that anyone's fault.
