The "Lady"Lunanova MtF Sonic mod made me realize that there's been a lot of troons swarming the Sonic franchise recently.

Mike Pollock got cancelled on Twitter because he got into an argument with a tranny named DewEnjoyer/ Juno / RobotGirlFucker :

Some Britbong faggot made a video whining about Mike getting snippy with dipshit fans on Twitter (this was before the current salvo in the Israel-Palestine war started), DewEnjoyer subtweeted Mike because he's had a hateboner for him since he initially came out in support of Israel.

People told the stupid tranny to shut up and stop being a stupid tranny, so of course, being an attention whoring tranny, he directly @'ed Mike Pollock which got him to make a sarcastic reply, which he later deleted:

Mike is a lolcow in his own right given how easily he starts to sperg out about how Jewish he is and how much he loves Israel, but he made a crucial mistake in this interaction: he gave a tranny a reason to cry victim.

which got #recastEggman and #FireMikePollock trending for a few days:

There's a nonzero chance that all the whining reached Sega HQ (considering the fact that most of Sonic's official western staff is terminally online), so he might be replaced:

But that's still not enough for the tranny, he's still so incensed that every day since Mike made his tweet, he's made sure to hold that grudge:

People aren't even allowed to express how much they like Pollock's voice acting (Mike is indeed a very talented actor) without him descending down upon them and sending hate.

One of the IDW comic artists, GigiD got into some hot water for drawing Sonic and Shadow's movie equivalents with FtM breast removal surgery scars.

Movie Sonic is 13 years old, the youngest version of Sonic and is the only version of Sonic that actually acts his age, which makes this creepier than it already is.

GigiD or Gigi Dutreix, despite having they/them pronouns, was born a natal woman.

She hasn't written on the main Sonic IDW comic book, but she has written for some of the specials and annual issues.

The two characters in the image on the left are Tangle and Whisper, two characters who aren't gay (Tangle was meant as a non-romantic replacement for Sonic's original love interest, Sally Acorn, and Whisper had a moment with Silver in her first issue), but they retroactively got shipped by the crew on the comics in order to pander to the fans.

They aren't gay, but the IDW team (Evan Stanley, I think) somehow managed to find a way to get a canonical gay couple into the comics regardless via one of the specials:

Nite the Owl and Don the Rooster (a literal cock). Of course, they haven't kissed or done anything explicitly romantic in the comics because I'm 99% sure Sega would have an aneurism before walking into that kind of PR quagmire but that hasn't stopped the comics team from getting as close as possible to hinting at their relationship in the most 2010s Cartoon Network way possible:

Nite using "my dear" when referring to Don, them holding hands in the corner of a crowded cover, etc.

They also snuck in a cameo of Bobby Shroeder aka Ponett / PonettPlus/ ThanksKenPenders's fursona:

I'm not necessarily a Sonic "fan" as in "fanatic", I've enjoyed a few of the games casually and I owned a Dreamcast back in the day. The split between Japanese and American Sonic doesn't matter to me as much as it does for some people... but I'd definitely hope Sega starts vetting the people around their franchise more directly if they're going to have the majority of the non-video game operation run by Americans.

Western creatives in just about any field, animation, comic, and especially video games are becoming increasingly more and more terminally online, leading to shit like this.

Alex Yard made some really good videos before on the old Sonic games' music, it's a shame he went into a schizoid meltdown after he tried to pull the same epic-takedown shit with Toby Fox. He tried to claim that Toby Fox plagiarized off of some random literal-who metal band when it came to composing a boss theme for Undertale:

His theory is so pants-on-head stupid and brazenly dishonest that he makes sure to frame everything in this video around Undertale's soundtrack being called "UNDERTALE SOUNDTRACK" instead of "The Undertale ORIGINAL Soundtrack", an extremely minute detail that literally does not matter to anybody,

He spends the entire video making little jabs like this based on the absolutely flimsy paper thin "reasoning" shown above:

He tried to imply Toby was a pedophile because Undertale's main font is called "Mars Needs Cunnilingus".

1) Undertale wasn't a game intended for children, despite it's massive boom amongst mid-2010s Gen Z.
2) Toby didn't invent the font, it's a free-to-use font with a silly name made 5 years before the game released, pretty common in the 2010s.

Repetitive how? Compared to the original tunes which by design were repetitive to begin with?

Stardust Speedway Act 2 is a complete upgrade from the original SS Present tune, and even his original stuff like Mirage Saloon act 2 is one of the catchiest fucking things I've ever listened to. Flying Battery Zone's stages mixes things up with different drum samples in the second phase.

Like what the fuck is he expecting from a sonic song?

Alex Yard did his Tee Lopes call-out stream. If someone could archive this it'd be much appreciated. It's over 5 hours long but based on the title, I'm guessing the Tee Lopes part is just a segment of it. So far I'm 20 minutes into the actual start and here's what's happened so far:
-Alex talks very slowly, and at the same time takes forever to get to his point of how Tee Lopes is an asshole.
-After 15 minutes he starts dissecting Tee Lopes's comment on his recent video, saying it's too generic and vague sounding. The last part of the comment was what he had a problem with: Tee Lopes saying "Here's to more positive stuff like this", specifically because Alex was, in his own words, roasting and giving constructive criticism. Alex says it doesn't make sense for Tee to interpret constructive criticism as "positive", so this must be a passive-aggresive backhanded comment (which would be... reasonably matching the roasting in kind if true??? It sounds very hypocritical.)
-Alex Yard overanalyzes and takes offense to Tee Lopes's tweet saying that Music Theory wasn't as boring as he thought, and criticizes Lopes's inconsistency with apparently learning from Music Theory to apply it to later works, but still (self-deprecatingly) say he doesn't know Music Theory.

So far it just sounds like Alex Yard is paranoid and hypersensitive, and instead of just getting to the point, he acts very condescending to people coming to understand in the first place. It reminds me of when Angry Joe was clashing with fans over him putting videos out during his break, instead of just explaining the difference between the content in good faith.

I'm going to be listening to the rest of it because so far it isn't incoherent rambling, even though the point seems to be that Alex Yard is a little bitch who projects onto other people to horrific extremes.

With Gigi, though, there's one more horrifying piece of the puzzle that you haven't mentioned. Recently, the IDW Sonic comics have started featuring a "Creator Corner" segment at the end which contains a short 'interview' with a specific staff member. Issue #76 of IDW Sonic, released last month, ran this segment on our pooner in question, and in it, her answer to the question of favorite comic aside from Sonic is - drumroll, please - Gender Queer: A Memoir.

This is a fascinating insight into not just Gigi's own mind, but the minds of her higher-ups. Not only did Gigi think "hell yeah, let's shill the tit-chopping book to kids", but neither the editor nor SEGA's oversight saw any problem with this. Between this, her 'top surgery' fetish and everything else you've found, I think it's safe to say that that le funni joek she made about trooning all America's kids:

I got recommended his videos before the Toby Plagiarism drama, and I had really liked those videos covering Sonic's soundtrack, just a chill editing style, appreciation for the music. Then he caught wind of that one song sounding like Toby Fox's Undertale music, something I had saw posted on 4chan a year or so prior.
