If this is accurate then my assumption would be that they made a mistake. They've made plenty of mistakes. If you've ever been part of any large changeover process that's to be expected.
So going to do anything or prove with video recording or labtop catches data to prove who had it.

Because I will never miss a chance to point this out. The reason is that he is -extremely- self-conscious of the fact he has very effeminate hands.
