Celebrity Meghan Markle / Rachel Meghan Markle / Meghan, Duchess of Sussex / Meghan Sussex / The Alliterate One - Markle Snarkle

Wow, this OP gets an A for effort! It's weird that she didn't have a thread about her antics made sooner. I'll be following this one with great pleasure.
I remember hearing about Harry's appalling behavior at the end of my elementary school, circa 2007. For the longest time I have just assumed that he was just a wild young man that had his fun time and is now a well respected member of BRF. Then the Meghan news dropped and it was a wild ride ever since.

Thank you. I have always been surprised we didn’t have a Markle thread but the Netflix show pushed me over the edge to try to make it. IMO the threshold for celebrity cows is (and should be) pretty high so I wanted to make sure to do the thread justice before submitting to the admins for approval. In addition there’s a couple of very pervasive misunderstandings about Meghan which I tried to dispel because the truth is equally as funny. She is funniest when you look at all of her failures in the context of how trivially easy it would have been for her to succeed.

..
I always figured that the BRF must too inbred to be intelligent although being American, I can’t say I thought about it much
if you go by their scores on the state tests technically Andrew is the smartest one, just edging out Anne. It makes sense going by their kids scores as well. somehow Andrew's kids got the highest scores, which makes sense considering they're also the only ones to hold down real jobs too. I guess Edward did better than the rest of them, but he's always felt like an afterthought.

I'm glad the family had Edward and Sophie (formerly Wessex, now Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh) in their pocket to replace the Sussexes in charity work. Rumor has it that King Charles has wanted to have a "slimmed down" working monarchy for years, but with QEIIs generation passing on and being elderly, there aren't many members to step up to the plate for diplomatic work.

Edward and Sophie have stepped into the diplomatic positions Harry and Meghan were originally earmarked for, which is probably for the best. Meghan did have a college internship at the American embassy in Argentina (courtesy of her father's brother, not like she ever mentions that) but apparently failed the basic foreign service exam. She did write in her blog about how thrilled she was to ride in a protected convoy once during her internship; how important it made her feel. It's little wonder they're still suing the British government for the right to be considered Internationally Protected People (IPP) so she can have gratis government convoys whenever she moves from one place to another. In fact, in her initial Mexit announcement, she declared that they would retain their IPP status, without ever consulting the government or the Queen. The fact this this was lunacy was one of the things made clear to Harry at the Sandringham Sumitt (which is a whole other ball of wax, and probably requires it's own in depth post.)

There’s an article about her in the daily mail today. Some comedienne thinks the show is just her trolling the royals for revenge and that’s why she’s doing things like making tea and jams and why she dresses a certain way, etc. they say it’s like an ex gf making an instagram to get back at her ex lol. That’s an interesting take on it and just may be true!

As ever, Meghan only does contrived things to project her fake narcissistic image she wants others to believe.
There’s also stuff in here from about the disaster tourism.

From what I'm getting from this thread, she's basically Anisa Jomha if she was famous, right down to the marginalized group cosplaying.

It's impressive how she's managed to take every good decision Kate Middleton and Michiko Shoda did and do the exact opposite.

from the article: "She also revealed how she goes to yoga and fitness classes with 40 to 50 others"

Where the fuck did this cunt find a 50 person yoga class?

She went on: 'The other day in class, I was there by myself - sometimes I go with girlfriends, but I went by myself - and in the middle of the class they said, 'Great, tell the person on your mat next to you that they're doing a great job, give them a fist pump.

'And I looked over and there was someone over there, and I was like [miming a fist bump], "Well done!" and then I looked to the other side and there was someone else and I went, "Nicely done! Come on, guys!".

'I mean, that's part of how you connect. I love it. It's the best,' she said.

'I had missed it. It's awesome.'

"I'm so relatable guys, I went to a communal sweat session and even touched one of the plebeians there."

Does this woman have no PR manager? She's so out of touch, this is like Zuckerberg level of autism.

It has long been speculated that while she does have a PR firm she does whatever the fuck she wants and is difficult to work with. We know this happened with the BRF as she was angry they wouldn’t let her do puff pieces and interviews. She wanted image rehab and they tried to do the smart thing and trotted her out multiple times with popular female royal Catherine, but Meghan wanted to talk talk talk about how great she is instead of just passively accrue interest and intrigue.

Meghan appears under the impression that people don’t like her because they don’t know the real her, when in fact the more people see of her the less they like her. She is massively, wildly overexposed in the media and really needs to shut the fuck up for 5 years. She absolutely cannot, though, she needs to clap back at every single perceived slight.

It has to be mental retardation at this point. It's been almost 10 years of spewing out cognitively declined comments and then backing them up with more like a Sisyphus rolling up a ball of shit.

I guess it is true that the ego is comatose in a narcissist's brain because otherwise I can't explain this.

There's a wild story about Meghan pretending to have a PR person in the book "Revenge", by Tom Bower. Please know that Bower has invited Harry and Meghan to sue him if anything he stated in his book was untrue, and despite being incredibly sue-happy, they've never taken Tom up on it.

The story is this: Meghan told some PR person or another who was trying to book her for a gig to communicate with her personal PR using the email rachel@hotmail.com to coordinate. This "personal PR" personnel would only communicate via email with the booking agent, and proceeded to act like a complete demanding lunatic: sending all caps paragraphs of abuse in the middle of the night, insane demands, etc. It got to the point that there was no reasoning with this internal PR person, and the gig broke down.

Then the outside PR agent mentioned this incident to Meghan at some event they were at in future, and Meghan was completely shocked and thanked them for letting her know.

The thing is... the external PR person / booker had found out that it was Meghan herself running the email (her first name is actually Rachel), and learned that she was a complete lunatic who pretended to have PR staff who did all of her dirty work, but also ruined gigs due to her outragous behavior.

I own the book, I'll see if I can pull together a big post of "best ofs" from the book. Bower got some amazing stories about what an unbalanced nightmare this chick is.

ETA: just for a time frame, this happened back in her Suits days, not when she had Buck Palace PR or when she was on the books at Sunshine Sachs (the PR firm she after Mexit, where she was later dropped as a client for nonpayment and being a general PITA.)

Well done @duckling - so glad to see her get her own bona fide KF thread, she's definitely due one and beauty parlor seems like a good fit. I love to hate her, from a loooong distance away. She's the kind of crazy you want to keep at a broomstick's length, like a badger or a potentially rabid raccoon. I find her a fascinating mess of a person.

What's always struck me about her though is the sheer second-hand embarrassment you get from her. Comes across as cringe, or out of touch, but personally I think she is way, way crazier than most give her credit for. I don't think it even really matters which of the cluster B disorders she exemplifies best, because I think her level of delusion combined with very limited actual intelligence veers into actual straitjacket territory. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised to see her getting arrested at some point in the future if Harry ever actually gets airlifted out in a rescue operation, or gets a nutsack transplant. She'll be carted off in a straitjacket tied to a dolly before she voluntarily dwindles into anonymity.

She has a level of oblivioussness to social convention you normally only see in terminal-grade autists, but simultaneously also not in an autistic way. I mean, it's not as though she's incapable of understanding something as not done/ inappropriate as much as she is incapable of processing the emotion we plebs call 'shame', so propriety be damned. But then, she also has a seemingly complete inability to comprehend theory of mind, to the point where she seemingly doesn't realize that all the many people she has fucked over in life actually... remember it? The notion that any of them might retaliate, or bide their time while holding a grudge, or refuse her something in future that they previously gave her... just the whole idea that he actions might bite her in the ass later, doesn't seem to even occur to her. People say Harry is the dumb one in this relationship, and yeah, obviously - he'd be 'the dumb one' in a relationship with a $4000 Japanese sex doll - but she's no Mensa candidate herself. Being smarter than Harry is basically just the highest IQ on the shortbus, not including the driver.

She was *just* smart enough to know how to play Harry's visible-from-space mommy issues like a fiddle and make him defer to her (nominally) better judgement; only she's still a complete retard fueled by an inferiority complex so intense it could be harnessed for nuclear fission, so all of her 'great ideas' are dogshit. At the same time, her egotism completely prevents her from being able to be responsible for it, so her only option in the face of failure is to lash out. Herself and prince gingernuts are like a perpetual motion machine of retardation. I can't wait to see what ends up in this thread in the future, plenty of milk left in this cow yet.

Neither of them seem especially bright, do they? The inability to be patient with anything, bucking convention with a toddler's air of "I do it myself!" at every turn.
Diana supposedly used to refer to herself as being "as thick as two short planks", and thus when the topic of Harry going to Eton came up she'd argue he was "like me" and didn't want to go there, since she worried he'd have a bad time, not being "as sharp" as William and struggling academically. Although you'd also read that Eton was where the Spencer boys always went to, and Charles had gone to Gordonstoun which he hated, and Eton is right next to Windsor Castle. But I think with Harry it's not just being a thicko but also being emotionally damaged.

Diana wasn't the world's most intelligent woman, but given she got engaged at 19 and married at 20 into the giant firm, she managed to do alright. If she wasn't very smart she at least had emotional intelligence enough to use her charm and warmth to her advantage, even when she did batshit things like air her dirty laundry on TV and be shocked this finally caused a divorce, or use Dodi Al-Fayed to try and make that heart surgeon jealous. It seems likely she had borderline personality disorder (her own grandmother supposedly advised against her marriage to Charles on the basis she was too emotionally unstable to handle the firm) - but nevertheless, she won the PR game. If you weren't in the UK when she died it's hard to overstate the level of hysteria that resulted in the British public when she passed -

- and even today it's still somewhat controversial to badmouth her. This is what Meghan attempts to achieve, but she's the wrong flavour of Cluster B (narcissist) and so ends up alienating everyone around her and being horrible to the little people. Diana was desperate to be loved and seemingly had a genuine capacity to love, so she would do genuine things like hugging children with AIDS which endeared her to the public. Meghan is desperate for status and so when she tries the same thing it falls flat.

If she'd met Meghan then she'd have caught the measure of her within milliseconds - Cluster B recognises Cluster B, even if Meghan is more of the narcissist than borderline personality. Other royals knew what was going on, but it seems Harry would have actually listened to Diana because she'd have approached it from a human angle rather than a "this is bad for the firm" angle. Diana would have been able to shut that down and matched Harry to some pretty blonde society girl.

When Diana died, Harry was 12 and supposedly the family (besides teenaged William) wouldn't really talk about it, and then he had to manage his grief in the public eye - by his own words he sort of emotionally shut down. It was only around 2015 that he actually went to counselling for the first time. They tell you not to get into a new relationship when you're starting out in therapy, but of course this is exactly when Meghan managed to leverage her connections to Markus Anderson to meet Harry and sink her hooks in with a targeted act of skinwalking his dead mother right when he was freshly processing his grief... and also by being Californian about therapy (the opposite of the royals). Which inevitably meant that Meghan lucked out since he basically would have mentally combined his new relationship with her with his newfound ability to relate to his emotions.

That's pretty much it. Meghan had enough cunning to work out how to leverage Harry into marrying her, and then - when she didn't get her way with the royals - leverage Harry's resentment towards his family he was newly exploring in therapy to get him to cut ties (seriously, they met in 2016 and within 3 and a half years they were announcing leaving the royal family). Pretty much everything about Harry's behaviour is typical for an emotionally immature person who's finally had the bottle stopper removed and then been enabled by Californians. Ever known someone who went to therapy for the first time, made some overtherapised friends, and now won't stop inappropriately oversharing their emotional traumas and using therapy speak? "Thank you for holding space with me to talk about my relationship with my mother, it's had some really meaningful shared energy and I feel really seen and heard. But I have to leave this baby shower now because I feel overstimulated; I'm going to respect my inner boundaries and use private space to process my thoughts". That's basically Harry in interviews or with his book, endlessly telling us far too much because he's overcompensating from years of repression without having yet learned to have a healthy filter (and has Meghan in his ear enabling him by telling him that he's being brave).

The lack of intelligence part is that Meghan didn't know what she was leveraging, so once she decided she hated being royal, she got Harry to cut himself off and then her Plan B just didn't really work out. Which is why we see the tone deaf back and forth - renouncing the royals but trying to re-ingratiate by calling their daughter Lilibet (which backfired horribly because it pissed off the Queen), Harry trying to meet Charles and getting rebuffed etc. I imagine behind closed doors, Meghan is probably getting to be a bit nasty as Harry's no longer a useful source of narcissistic supply and her ambitions keep getting frustrated, so Harry's spinning his wheels realising he's alienated his entire family just to be stranded in California with a monster.

thats basically the usual psychopath, its why you'll see plenty of them in c-suite for fortune 500 companies but 900x more of them in prison because not having a sense of shame and being oblivious might help in sales but also means you're more likely to rape or hurt someone like say a pregnant woman while right in front of a cop.

If you ever see police interrogation footage of a real psychopath they really are almost completely blind to certain social norms. its like that Patrick wallet bit.
Although you'd also read that Eton was where the Spencer boys always went to, and Charles had gone to Gordonstoun which he hated,
ironically enough Harry and William would have thrived at Gordonstoun, the reason Charles hated it was it being more about being athletic and sensitive young men who loved the arts and nature got the bullying they deserved, even if you were heir to the throne.
Diana would have been able to shut that down and matched Harry to some pretty blonde society girl.
Diana being alive would mean Harry wouldn't be so emotionally weak, he'd be a lot like his brother and just scared of crazy blonde women entirely. There's a reason William loves Catherine's family way more. If Harry tried to cut contact with the royales Diana would have either murdered Harry or tried to get his entire name and image completely vanished from the history books, either way Harry would have been dead to her.

she was truely proud to be mother of the king.

Alright everybody who is still calling her a cunning genius, state your case. Because I used to think maybe she was fairly smart but clearly she has absolutely zero theory of mind - she evidently did not think people would be able to see with their own eyes that the waffles are clearly warmed frozen, not made in the iron.

Actually I wonder if that illustrates, rather than simply being dumb, that she is becoming more mentally ill as time goes on and losing her ability to understand how normies perceive her. I always figured that she has some form of NPD with anxiety due to how erratically she behaves in public with the twitching, tongue flicking, hair twiddling, etc. and also the always choosing a victim for her bullying endeavors, per Knauf.

The negative press that she constantly brings upon herself must be really getting to her.
