I assume it's something to do with accusations that an aide did indeed use the Autopen to sign a bunch of stupid shit.

I honestly don't believe that a cognitively alert Biden would have done something as insane as sign pre-pardons for key personnel. That sounds much more like the kind of people who would lie about the president having dementia for 4 years.

BUT Trump is in risky territory here, even if it's just for the meme. Who's to say the next president won't invalidate his pardons because one or two of his aides used an Autopen?

The feature is entirely misleading. There is not one line here that indicates there are "criminal investigations" being launched. If you are going to make up and feature retarded bullshit then why not just say that Hillary's been shipped off to Gitmo like that one qoomer site does?

I'm pretty sure it was from this line. Although you're probably right, it does feel a bit misleading.

Trump signs like 99% of his EO's on camera anyways so the "pendulum swing" shit is a meme argument. Pretty clear Biden has no idea some of the pardons got signed like the guy who murdered cops or the one who killed kids.

Pardons don't protect people from the process of being investigated anyways only the result so they can still be dragged before the courts and forced to answer questions under oath that could implicate them in other ways.

The entire idea of "risky" territory and whatever is so funny to me, they have tried to kill him openly multiple times and he has been through every sort of circus judicial procedure you can imagine same for his family.

Do I think something big happens from this? No because they literally said day 1 they were going to investigate all of the pardoned people anyways and drag them but the MSM will melt the fuck down really hard about this. Biden could've easily had 1 pardon naming every single person he wanted to full pardon and sign that but they decided to do 6 million autopen signings for reasons.

While I'm sure this will be immediately challenged it will be funny as fuck to see the sperg out, even tons of democrats thought the pardons where a shit move but of course they'll now have to flip to curse that evil drumf.
I don't see the point, honestly. This will get thrown out almost immediately and for what? To piss people off? Okay I guess. I personally think it would be smarter to find any crimes committed after the pardons or that could be argued were not covered by the pardons. I imagine there's probably quite a bit that could be found on Hunter that he wasn't pardoned for.
All biden needs to do is say " I totes approved that...i said the line where's my ice cream?" and it's over. Even if you biden gets a signed doctors note saying hes mentally incompetent there's no way to legally prove he was when he issued the pardon
Correct. Same issue with Iran-Contra. Iran-Contra was ran exclusively by HW Bush when Reagan was suffering from dementia, but it couldn't be proven.
He already disregarded that one judge who told him to turn around the deportation planes full of gangsters. Trump is ready to go on the offensive. They teased it a few weeks back and I guess Trump's team has a plan of attack.
Yeah this is a bigger deal though. This deals with hard coded Article II powers.
Trump's team seem certain that Biden didn't know about them. If they have communication between staffers taking the initiative then it would be a lot tougher to overturn than Biden saying "Sure, why not" after the fact.
It's not outside the realm of possibility that they have Nixon-esque tapes. That would be pretty wild.
If he really wanted to get revenge, he could ilegally order somebody to murder the victim and then pardon him but that'd probably scare shitless even his own cabinet.
There's a novel where this happens. The president sets up camps where political dissidents are safe from instantly pardoned murders.

Like him being a toothless crack addict who lived off of his dad's trust fund was based?
Your telling me it isn't? Well I bet Nick Rekieta would beg to differ.
Trump uses this to start the lawsuit, but then brings up the argument that Joe was demented and uses the case to prove he has cognitive issues. If that could be proved, that seemingly would be a stronger case for his pardons being null and void.
Joe's dementia isn't going to be an issue because there were several checks and ballances that were supposed to trigger if he is unfit for office and those in charge of triggering it thought he was fit for service. As long as he was in the driver seat he has power, no ifs, ands, or buts. The issue here is staffers taking it upon themselves to issue pardons without his knowing, approval, and signature.

Trump making good on his boast about being able to shoot any random person on the streets of new york and get away with it would make this the presidency of the century, holy shit.

Zero chance this actually holds up. The president has the power to issue unconditional pardons. Using an electric pen instead of his hand to make the signature makes no difference. Sorry to anybody who wants to see fauci in prison, but remember that whatever power you give to your side, it will be used by the other side when the pendulum swings in that direction
This 100%. Right now the whole thing is about empowering the executive to its afforded power. Fucking with executive privilege in this moment does nothing for what's coming re: the judiciary.
