I found Morrroblivion very strange, empty. The content was the wrong scale for the engine or something. I don't have high hopes for a remaster of Oblivion along similar lines. Out of phase.

To be honest just thinking about it, trying to bring the aesthetic of Morrowind into Oblivion seems like a challenge. The latter is generally very bright and colorful especially in outdoor areas while the former tends to be more dim and drab.I found Morrroblivion very strange, empty. From what I can tell it does have a distinctly "mod" feel to it that just can't be shaken, but as I am the unique flavor of autism that prefers Skyrim I at least intend to try it.Honestly I rather just play Oblivion with a lot of mods if that's the case, I'm sure it'll be "fine" (though I have my doubts with big modding projects) but it won't be the same.
Oblivion's art style isn't really conducive to dark or drab anything, which is pretty ironic for a game where you spend a not-insignificant amount of time in Hell.To be honest just thinking about it, trying to bring the aesthetic of Morrowind into Oblivion seems like a challenge. I would have agreed 13-15 years agoThey should remake Battlespire and Redguard since those games were always shit.
I really wish they'd had a radiant AI mode option in the settings, like a sandbox mode just so you could enjoy that chaos. Dunno if you can re-enable it through the developer console or mods. And to think, Bethesda said that the reason they toned down Radiant AI was because it caused too much chaos and entire towns to kill each other off.
True, Oblivion with mods looks fine as is. What they really should have done is gone back and given us a update that fixed the game's limitations being a x32 application running on directX 9Honestly I rather just play Oblivion with a lot of mods if that's the case, I'm sure it'll be "fine" (though I have my doubts with big modding projects) but it won't be the same.
I don't know. I'm playing Oblivion right now just with bug patches, the horse saddle bags and the character overhaul.Honestly I rather just play Oblivion with a lot of mods if that's the case, I'm sure it'll be "fine" (though I have my doubts with big modding projects) but it won't be the same.
I tend not to touch character overhauls for anything before Skyrim, looks jarring the more you go back in the series and try to make it "prettier."The character overhaul
...yeah, same here. It's easier to do anything, for better or worse. Does mean the older game's experience is more preserved rather than trying to bury as much as possible.I feel like Skyrim modding, even as janky as it still gets, has spoiled me.
It’d be a crime for me to remove Oblivion’s ridiculous potato faces, regardless of how bad they look. That’d be like removing the Eiffel Tower from Paris.I tend not to touch character overhauls for anything before Skyrim, looks jarring the more you go back in the series and try to make it "prettier."
Been saying this for years. Just give us Oblivion SE FFS.What they really should have done is gone back and given us a update that fixed the game's limitations being a x32 application running on directX 9
You know what? I want the same.Been saying this for years. Just give us Oblivion SE FFS.
I want this to happen simply so that more people are made aware of the horrors that troons bring forth, there is never enough money lost for companies. But I doubt even big companies that take fat checks from "Blackguard" (fused the two notorious names for convenience) will form a purely troon team.A prediction:

They do look like Oblivion characters...A prediction:

ftfyThat’d be like removing rats and niggers from Paris.
Most skyrim players are thalmor ballwasher imperial niggercattle who hate Talos because the Stormcloaks like him and the Stormcloaks are big evil meanie raycists and ULFRIC IS AN ASSET.Why do so many Skyrim players hate Heimskir, that guy who preaches about Talos in Whiterun? I like him.
Heimskr in my game preaches about cock and ball torture. Michael Kirkbride told me this was canon in a dream I had.Why do so many Skyrim players hate Heimskir, that guy who preaches about Talos in Whiterun? I like him.
