Morrowind does the same thing. You can play as a beast race and no one really cares. Not even the slave owners care. It's probably a gameplay thing. Game wouldn't be very fun for as many people if you got locked out of stuff like going into cities because of your race. Even pre-Oblivion, this series was more of a casual RPG. The older games are only hardcore now in comparison to Skyrim. This reminds me that canon interracial couples are actually pretty rare. Even among the races of men, they tend to stick to their own. A Nord is going to have a Nord spouse, an Imperial is going to have an Imperial spouse, ect. It was mentioned in this thread earlier about how it's wierd that Skyrim doesn't discriminate against the player for being a beast race, but you would think interracial couples would also invite comments from NPCs. What if you are a Storm cloak and married to an elf? A child is 100% the race of their mother in this universe, so you would think there would be societal implications for that alone.
Saw one where they turned him into the fat dwarf and lost my shit.
Fingers crossed they finish Markarth SOON. The High Rock expansion has a lot of claims and mapwork/tilesets done too.I got back home

Okay explain to me how you sell an 80k gold sword to a merchant that only has a 5k resetting gold pool then. The only way to do that is to buy back the sub 5k old loot in his inventory until he has enough money to give you full price for the 80k sword, wait a day until his gold pool resets again, sell him one sub 5k loot item back, wait to reset again and repeat that until your inventory is emptied of loot. It works because both the crab merchant and creeper will always buy items at max value so you don't lose gold repeatedly buying and selling to them.Shuffle things around? You're making up nonsense.
Skyblivion will be better and give my something else to make fun of console fags for. They'll be stuck with the shitty official remake while I get one that I can add mods to and use an ENB with.God I hope the Oblivion remake is real, and that it releases as soon as the rumor says it will.
People are *still* holding out for the Oblivion remake?
Unless the team remaking it are really trying to have a breakout (wasn't the last rumored "reveal" from 3 months ago about it being a total remake with new combat inspired by Dark Souls or something?) I don't think it's coming.
Exactly, but the release date from those documents was like 4 years ago wasn't it?The remake was one of the things leaked from the court documents during the Activision acquisition. Could have been canceled in the meantime, and I fucking hope so, but with how cagey game companies are that's all we have to go off of.
The remake rumors bounce between "Its outsourced to a team doing it in Unreal Engine 5."Oblivion is fine as is.
We all know Bethsoft gonna ruin this type of remake. They hadn't the OG devs in the first place.
ME: Legendary Edition used the same Unreal Engine 2 and put into their limits.
A remake would destroy what made Oblivion Oblivion. The chaotic Radient AI.
>Unreal engine super graphics layered "on top" of the creation engineGod I hope the Oblivion remake is real, and that it releases as soon as the rumor says it will.
This too, I don't imagine Unreal can even facilitate AIA remake would destroy what made Oblivion Oblivion. The chaotic Radient AI.
And to think, Bethesda said that the reason they toned down Radiant AI was because it caused too much chaos and entire towns to kill each other off.
One of my fondest memories playing Oblivion on 360 was when some random NPC snuck into a bar, got caught pickpocketing, and the entire bar jumped his ass and beat him to death so thoroughly that he turned into goo. Then they aggro'd on each other and the fight got so intense my game crashed. And to think, Bethesda said that the reason they toned down Radiant AI was because it caused too much chaos and entire towns to kill each other off.
Honestly I rather just play Oblivion with a lot of mods if that's the case, I'm sure it'll be "fine" (though I have my doubts with big modding projects) but it won't be the same.Absolutely zero interest in it unless it genuinely improves every single aspect or Oblivion AND runs buttery smooth because Skyblivion is already the remake I have planned to play and it is free.
