You lost, Outlander?

This reminds me that canon interracial couples are actually pretty rare. Even among the races of men, they tend to stick to their own. A Nord is going to have a Nord spouse, an Imperial is going to have an Imperial spouse, ect. It was mentioned in this thread earlier about how it's wierd that Skyrim doesn't discriminate against the player for being a beast race, but you would think interracial couples would also invite comments from NPCs. What if you are a Storm cloak and married to an elf? A child is 100% the race of their mother in this universe, so you would think there would be societal implications for that alone.
Morrowind does the same thing. You can play as a beast race and no one really cares. Not even the slave owners care. It's probably a gameplay thing. Game wouldn't be very fun for as many people if you got locked out of stuff like going into cities because of your race. Even pre-Oblivion, this series was more of a casual RPG. The older games are only hardcore now in comparison to Skyrim.

At one point, Daggerfall was considered shallow.

Shuffle things around? You're making up nonsense.
Okay explain to me how you sell an 80k gold sword to a merchant that only has a 5k resetting gold pool then. The only way to do that is to buy back the sub 5k old loot in his inventory until he has enough money to give you full price for the 80k sword, wait a day until his gold pool resets again, sell him one sub 5k loot item back, wait to reset again and repeat that until your inventory is emptied of loot. It works because both the crab merchant and creeper will always buy items at max value so you don't lose gold repeatedly buying and selling to them.

Morrowboomer mod review just dropped : Ald'Ruhn Outskirts adds a Temple Monastery where "Ancestral Mages" process Dunmer corpses for their tombs. Some kino stuff.

I can recommend Memento Mori to pair with this too since it adds 3 huge ossuaries where Dunmer inter their dead at the Ghostgate to power it. They act as quest hubs and huge dungeons where fight 6th House forces tunneling into the catacombs.

Damius who made the Ald'Ruhn mod for the recent modjam is great, I particularly love his Coldharbour mod where explore a slice of Molag Bal's realm which has this awesome deep ocean floor vibe going on.

Katyakerrel who made the Memento Mori mod also made the very well done Lord Of Rebirth quest mod too. His stuff is very good.

People are *still* holding out for the Oblivion remake?

Unless the team remaking it are really trying to have a breakout (wasn't the last rumored "reveal" from 3 months ago about it being a total remake with new combat inspired by Dark Souls or something?) I don't think it's coming.

Edit: MS should just give Todd a support studio and the money to bring back Kirkbride and tell him to finally make his Redguard sequel so he can retire happy. It's obvious all he's ever really wanted to make was an action adventure game based on how dumbed down ES got and how quick he was to jump on Indiana Jones. And he could finally get that last bucket list item after the failure that was his space game.

The remake was one of the things leaked from the court documents during the Activision acquisition. Could have been canceled in the meantime, and I fucking hope so, but with how cagey game companies are that's all we have to go off of.

Exactly, but the release date from those documents was like 4 years ago wasn't it?

Meanwhile, every 6 months the leakers tell us it's totally about the be announced guys, and it never is lol

Oblivion is fine as is.
We all know Bethsoft gonna ruin this type of remake. They hadn't the OG devs in the first place.
ME: Legendary Edition used the same Unreal Engine 2 and put into their limits.
The remake rumors bounce between "Its outsourced to a team doing it in Unreal Engine 5."
And that its being done in conjunction between the existing engine and some other shit in house.
It all seems like BS to me. Until I see solid info from an actual source I think its a lie or a balloon they're putting out there to see if people would CONSUME or shoot it down.

God I hope the Oblivion remake is real, and that it releases as soon as the rumor says it will.
>Unreal engine super graphics layered "on top" of the creation engine
Going to run like absolute fucking dogshit.
>No mod support because of Unreal "complications"
Dead in the water

Absolutely zero interest in it unless it genuinely improves every single aspect or Oblivion AND runs buttery smooth because Skyblivion is already the remake I have planned to play and it is free.
A remake would destroy what made Oblivion Oblivion. The chaotic Radient AI.
This too, I don't imagine Unreal can even facilitate AI

And to think, Bethesda said that the reason they toned down Radiant AI was because it caused too much chaos and entire towns to kill each other off.
One of my fondest memories playing Oblivion on 360 was when some random NPC snuck into a bar, got caught pickpocketing, and the entire bar jumped his ass and beat him to death so thoroughly that he turned into goo. Then they aggro'd on each other and the fight got so intense my game crashed.

Would have been genius and very immersive shit to see if the game hadn't shit it's pants. Bethesda should have doubled down on the dynamicism of these systems and added shit like dynamic bar fights and other assorted shit like it.

Honestly I rather just play Oblivion with a lot of mods if that's the case, I'm sure it'll be "fine" (though I have my doubts with big modding projects) but it won't be the same.
