Off topic, I know, but in the US, your credit score is like a measure of personhood. If you have good credit, your insurance costs less. If you have good credit, you might get a free month's rent when you sign a year's lease. There are lots of tangential benefits that come from a good credit score, and anyone who does a background check on you will be able to see it.
