It was the one used to power the Weatherlight. It was destroyed when Teferri traveled to the past via the temporal anchor, and ended up on Zhalfir.Correct me here but wasnt her realm sealed in a powerstone?

Well I'm going to need those for my many, many dragon decks. It seems for the lands they were going for young adult fantasy book cover.

Doesn't even look remotely similar to her other versions either. Pretty sure she had short hair too, so can spirits grow hair now? Is this deepest lore?
I went and looked at Matt's other art, and honestly I think he just cant draw tits. he's done a few really nice pieces, and I like his general fantasy vibes, but his style seems to make the human figure just vanish into their clothing. Not a bad thing, but a sad continuance of the WOTC art trends.
It's a cool effect but the fact you wanna maximize the damage means you are probably gonna kill people through commander damage by accident sometimes.I am very hype that I finally get Villainous wealth in the command zone though.
This is very true, and will be one of the really fun building restrictions I need to puzzle out. I'm thinking 7 damage is going to be the sweet spot, since that lets me get 2.5 hits per opponent, and digs enough for splashy things. Now I have to go digging through all the evasion and figure out how to best avoid a bunch of exile based removal. It's a cool effect but the fact you wanna maximize the damage means you are probably gonna kill people through commander damage by accident sometimes.
Do you have a stable playgroup? If so i would calculate the average cmc of the group and aim for that. This is very true, and will be one of the really fun building restrictions I need to puzzle out. This Zurgo fucks and combines the two of the most fun shit in this game: tokens and tribal.
You will be mostly looking at blue. Now I have to go digging through all the evasion and figure out how to best avoid a bunch of exile based removal.
I think it's an upside to have a dumb fiddly commander reliant on other people's decks that only functions through meaningfully advancing the game through significant damage to face. Some of your games will be less funny than others but them's the breaks. You building for the funny will also result in you threatening with commander damage. There are plenty of passive fiddly theft commanders. It's a cool effect but the fact you wanna maximize the damage means you are probably gonna kill people through commander damage by accident sometimes.
The problem is, if you are just gonna kill with voltrony shit anyways...you might as well play voltron.I think it's an upside to have a dumb fiddly commander reliant on other people's decks that only functions through meaningfully advancing the game through significant damage to face. Those will likely be some strong contenders. I’m also planning to pull the green and black evasion I’ve got in other commander centric decks. There’s a reason Tamiyo’s safekeeping is a $4 card even at common. You will be mostly looking at blue.
You will be relying on counter spells and cards that phases out creatures.
- Slip out the back
- March of swirling mists
- Vanishing (the aura not the mechanic)
The Zero means you can leap from this to Ulamog, and you can -0 to cast a matter reshaperThough I yearn for the days when Karn Liberated was a premier Modern threat, this gives me hope that a more traditional Tron list gets bumped up the Modern tier list a few notches.
