Jerry Peet / Lily Orchard / Lily Peet / Valkyrstudios / Bhaalspawn / Tara Callie / "Mod Ebara" - Sociopath writer of pedophile fanfiction and cartoon reviews, faked getting raped to force a divorce, then mobbed and gaslit their ex off Tumblr, satanist neoliberal of the MovieSlob variety, also wants to fuck dogs and/or pokemon

Shut up! Shut the fuck up! 13 episodes is not a season! Eight episodes is not a season! 26 episodes is a season!
Fuck, I also forgot to mention that her little joke here doesn't take into account the duration of a single episode.
One example I can think of that deviates from CD-Lily's metrics would be Chi's Sweet Home, a comedy manga that was made into an anime. Each episode is about 3-minutes long, so it's likely that they would need more episodes to make a season, exceeding the 26 episode count that she would expect.

Had CD-Lily not made a history of herself of being a massive cunt to both anime and recommendations in general, I probably would suggest this series to her, but she's already defiled enough media as it is by making commentary on it, so I'll just recommend it to anyone else interested in something simple and cute.

Why did Lily Orchard change her Youtube name to CD-Call (which sounds like a tech channel)? Is she trying to disassociate from the Lily Orchard name? And is her legal name still Lily Orchard, or is that changed too now? A TLDR would be appreciated, thanks!

tl;dr: Jerry is a coward who hopes changing his username will cover his tracks. It obviously doesn't, and if he were a tad bit more intelligent, he would realize this as his entire history ever since his Bhaalspawn moniker is fairly well known. He likes to pretend he's not been using the "Lily Orchard" name outside of youtube for a while now, but it is obviously false. CD-Call is just meant to be a generic name with no particular meaning.
By changing the name of a former patreon page of his, he did try to imply he was using the name "Casey", which is also his sister's nickname (after the name of a late relative of theirs, maternal aunt I believe, but do not quote me on this), but backpedaled as soon as people called him out on how weird it would be if he were doing this. It did work with "CD", as said aunt was named Courtney/Casey Dopler.
He did try to imply he had legally changed his name, but he is still serving DMCA notices under the Lily Orchard name, so this is a lie as well. It would be funny if Jerry finally abandoned the Orchard name right after his wife Mikhaila took it however.

My personal theory as to why he did this is that ever since Courtney came back in the picture, he has forsaken his spite toward Lizzy and doesn't care about skinwalking her, and instead tried to skinwalk Courtney, though it immediately failed.

I said what I said already on Tumblr, but I'll repeat an important point here... Imagine for a second that an abuser jokes to their friends about abusing their partner and the partner in question laughs about it... does the fact the abused laughed about it justify the abuse?

CD-Lily changed her name because it had been in the works for a while... allegedly.

Nevermind the fact she told someone to kill themselves, which lead to her Tumblr getting nuked.

As far as I know, she has yet to change her name legally. If she did, it would be archived somewhere in official documents, like when she changed her name from Jerry Peet to Lily Orchard.

Afaik, this sounds eerily similar to Ascentia and Twilight's relationship in Stockholm, where Twilight rapes and abuses Ascentia but Ascentia is fine with it and even jokes about it at times. If Stockholm were not so dreadful to sift through I would try to find an example, alas I am but a humble man and don't wish to go through the psychic damage reading this work inflicts.

Local Mirror: (taking its sweet time to upload)
After only a day this video is doing better than her dragon age compilation, and will probably pass both her veilguard and moon girl videos in under a week.

Big surprise, her fans want to see her talk about cartoons and fandom and not elf racism for 2 hours.

No matter if Peet stuck to their word. They would've forced to go back about talking the ole themes because that's what most of their audience came for instead of a Adderall fueled spite video.

Her 'joke' about breaking a full season into two half-seasons actually has some legitimacy as a critique. Most Western shows used to have (and to this day are usually built with the idea of) twenty-episode seasons, which tell the full arc of the season across those twenty episodes. In a season of television that has an ongoing storyline, breaking this into two seasons instead of one contiguous season can result in demanding a midway climax that disrupts a traditional three-act structure and can mess up the pacing of the story.

For instance, Centaurworld (which I'm delighted that Lily won't cover and I hope she sticks with it) was originally conceived as a twenty-episode single series and was broken instead into two ten-episode seasons (well, one ten-episode season and an eight-episode season, but the eighth episode is a full-length movie.) Centaurworld is unironically fantastic, but the pacing of the first season is incredibly fast while the pacing of the second can feel sluggish by comparison because the series had to be retooled. It's fairly clear it was originally meant to alternate episodes that move the plot forward with episodes about each of the characters, but wound up having to front-load the plot to reach a mid-point climax and then backload the character episodes, which results in pumping the breaks when (logically) the events of the tenth episode should have occurred in the fourteenth or fifteenth (more or less the latter third).

Breaking up what should be a single season into two is usually done due to some Hollywood accounting bullshit that basically allows a studio to pay less for the same work in ways that I'm not entirely sure of but it's generally a cost-cutting measure. It might also be a case where ordering two seasons makes it easier to control production; if the first 'season' doesn't live up to demands then they can easily cut funding after the second and only be out the cost for twenty episodes. Cartoon production has such a long lead time that the second season is well into development by the first one airs, so if the first season (twenty episodes) turns out to not work out you haven't paid for the twenty and then invested into the next twenty.

Of course this is all production backend issues and Lily has proven time and time again that she doesn't understand the production backend, nor care beyond being able to scream at female show runners.

I do note -- and this might be entirely incidental -- that thirteen is actually the standard length of a single-season anime. So it's funny that she refuses to believe that thirteen episodes is enough for a season when there are quite a few anime that have used that exact structure. Just... hmm.

The only reason shows tend to have 26 episodes a season is because that is approximately one new episode a week for half a year of broadcasting. That leaves the latter half of the year for reruns while show runners produce more. (Likewise, 13 episode seasons would account for one broadcasting seasonal block.) There is no narrative benefit to those specific amounts, just monetary ones.

Ideally, story-driven shows should last however long the creator actually wants them to, and not be dragged out or cut up for broadcasting convenience.

Some stories are short. Some are long. Lily does not have a point, she just wants to suck the dick of big corporations and whip artists into entertainment mills for her specific enjoyment.

Meta/OT: I still don't get why this thread is in Animal Control. I haven't even seen any evidence of Lily being a furry.

Might have something to do with the period of time her puppet was a just a pony version of herself. Or all that pony porn she had. Or the Pokephilia.
Makes sense, I forgot that his original Clyde Cash was Josh Scorcher, another brony.
Did you somehow miss all the incest pony fanfics he wrote?
Ig, man. I just be saying shit sometimes.

Animal Control also includes/included the brony subculture, though now that Friendship is Magic is over, most bronies have moved on/chosen an adjacent fandom to terrorize. Back when Jerry's thread was created, he was big ("big") into the brony YT community, along with Josh Scorcher and ToonKritic for instance. There was no stinkditch subforum either, and he hadn't trooned out yet (and KF cared a lot less about troons in general). It's been mentioned before now that Jerry's not really a brony nor a furry maybe this thread should be moved, but it's never been done.

While he may not be a furry, I think keeping him in Animal Control instead of Stinkditch (since he doesn't have enough relevance for Internet Famous) is our safest bet for two reasons:
1. he still is a zoophile (see the ask "trapped in a cage for of horny dogs" and the drawings he asked Patch to make), heavily into Gardevoir, and wrote Stockholm.
2. Jerry's thread has a very particular culture of avoiding to delve into his trannydom and mostly using his preferred name/pronouns. Some do, some don't, but rarely is there infighting about it. Moving it into stinkditch runs the risk of breaking this very carefully balanced ecosystem, and most likely lead to the tumblr users using this thread disavowing it, making it harder to collect, archive and make public aware of information about Jerry.

Great insights as always, and addresses why Jerry's still on this board although his trans identity is more prominent than his furry tendencies nowadays. Also better explains the context/culture of this thread. Thanks again @Pavel Yudin!
