LoL imagine if TrashbinHomo (that is, the Preddit page) gets wind we are doing fan art of redisigns and we are NOT calling these "Alternate Universe", and they go "extremists at Kiwi Farms are doing redisigns of HH/HB characters (and they are Hella cool!)"
To be fair, redesigns of Vivzie's characters are a pretty common sight on Twitter from the perspective of critiquing the original designs, especially for the Kesha demon.

TL: DR instead of Valentino being a bog standard pimp who rapes Angel Dust (and trying to write that whole can of worms), he's a made man with mafia connections who's trapping ANgel Dust in low level grunt work and empty promises of getting back into the mafia, and as a result poses a far greater threat to Angel Dust and the Hotel, because if his best enforcer slips out of his grasp, then he can call on the Sinner Mafia for help.
I do have some ideas of what I would do for Valentino. They do share some similarities with yours. For mine so far I'm thinking he would be a newer arrival, he was in his past life a drug dealing chemist who had ties with the mafia to sell his produce. In hell he is able to remake these drugs and already starts building up his reputation.

Anthony in this universe was an ex-junkie relapsing in hell catching wind of a drug maker he thinks he can make easy grab and a easy hook up. Holds Valentino at gunpoint and demands that he give him drugs. Where Valentino introduced him to Angel Dust (as in that time period he died ot didn't exist.) And gets hooked to it. Valentino familiar with the Mafia knows how to appease to him.

Not gonna spoil the rest of the rewrite.

I would love to see they post about us and put my rewrites/ redesigns are on there.

I've seen what they put on there....shutter So I wonder if they'd actually like them, or they just seethe and cope that the original designs and her writing is because it's not gooner bait enough for them.

@Re(Runner)48 had an urge to jump back in your sandbox, so here's my favorite girls, thought about adding Andy but this is about them alone. It's really sketchy but I've been busy and still fighting artists block

Darn it, don't make me change my profile picture again. This, as the kids would say, goes hard. In many layers, actually. It's rare to see drawings of Stella being seen in a sympathetic light, and I think this is the best depiction of her woes as a mere forced caregiver than anything, and all for what? Just for her husband to get the fantasies he wanted, even after getting banished? To be with an imp he only had a massive fetish/infatuation for? Well, he got his wishes and Stella, in the show, still continues to be a one-note cackling cartoon villain. In my vision, she'd absolutely do what she can to ruin Stolas, even after his banishment, to let him know the pain she had to suffer that he only got a small lick of.

Amazing job, dude. You killed it with this. Rough sketch or not, it still conveys the sort of emotion I really wish to see more in Stella art. Thank you.

Now this is probably due to the fact that Helluva Boss is being animated by an indie studio of freelancers instead of being outsourced to a cheap animation studio outside of the country, but even having a shot or two of background characters doing shit, or some people loitering around the hotel vicinity to give some life to this supposed overpopulated hellscape.

That's what I'm saying! Why in the world are the streets so empty? Why is everything empty despite this is supposed to be an "overpopulation" issue when the streets and world of the Pride Ring looks as empty as a nightly Costco parking lot? Give the streets of Hell to look like your average Indian city! Pollution, bad air, dense areas and cracks—everything! Or better yet, Kowloon???

Remember Loser Baby when Angel Dust and Husk were in the streets? Literally no one until the musical demanded it! Remember a good majority of scenes? Literally no one until the musical or plot demanded it! There's only a crowd when it's convenient as you said!

Even then, there's a real lack of an actual "overpopulation" as no, Viv, ten sinners in one scene does not count as overpopulated.

GOD, man, the show should've stayed indie. It really should've stayed indie but NO. That woman HAD to get those super special Broadway stars and probably spent most of the budget in paying them.

Very beautiful, and makes me feel this haunting sadness for her. I love this comradery you added of her with her daughter. And it's so beautiful to depict a female relationship, this sorority and women/young women being there for another. It's something the show severely lacks, so nice job giving this sense of empathy to both of our tragic women.

Now that we're on the subject of Stella I must ask, who is Stella as a person?

I'm being serious here, because I can't really describe anything about Stella unless it's in some correlation to Stolas. She's not greedy as she doesn't care that Octavia would get all that Stolas had once he's dead. She's not self-absorbed as she doesn't fill the mansion with pictures of herself after Stolas gets kicked out. She not a snob as she doesn't particularly think herself as being better than others, unless it's negatively affecting Stolas. I can't even say she's a naturally angry person since, outside of that one picture of when she's a child, she only has ever been angry because of Stolas cheating on her.

If you took Stolas out of the picture completely, I can't say I could give any description on Stella's character besides her being apparently attractive. Because that's the only thing going on for her besides hating Stolas.

I feel sad that we got wrecked so much that nice people here on the Farms have done better than Vivz at her own characters.

Why does some random stranger do better than Vivz at Octavia and other characters?
Because fans, even jaded fans who fell out of love for the material, tend to still care more about the original work and have some love. Vivzie is too obsessed with her fandom that she lets her fans make her decisions with little care. She has too much fandom brainrot.

The most I can say is that she likes living as a rich aristocrat and having a social life, but that's so flat. Some defenders like to bring up how she's a one dimensional villain who doesn't need depth (despite the fact she is the core character of Stolas' conflict), but many simple villains can at least be envisioned doing hijinks on their own without relying on their enemy. Stella is reliant on Stolas and is constantly sidelined to showcase his or Ocavia's angst, and her time as a villain is usurped by Andre who is honestly a much lamer character along with being more poorly written by being an idiot while presented as a Machiavellian genius.

The more I think about it, A Pimp Named Slickback is who Valentino would be with better writing.

Yes and no. Yes thats how a pimp acts, and this charismatic personality. No because in the current age you can't treat hoes like that, and the idea of sex workers are now a "respected" career and should be validated regardless of the consequences and problems sex work causes the world.

To be fair, Valentino does beat the shit out of the people working for him, and openly kills them. So at least he has that going for him even if Viv makes him really goofy due to her ill-thought of "pathetic and intimidating" model.

A Pimp Named Slickback is goofy too but it's more for his eccentric personality than having a midget annoy him and freak him out

Valentino was a pimp in the 70's and is meant to still give those vibes so I think he should still act like that, however his personal life consequences should suffer

Any prostitute under his "care" who gets close to him personally is one he actually fucks himself out of, because his atrocious behaviour when not in the studio helps them realise how fucked up everything is and they can take the steps to leave (even if it means transferring their contract out to someone else)

Again great idea and that's something I would do or think of. However this is Viv were talking about she's california brainrotten millennial. The show is set in this CURRENT era regardless of them dying in their respective times. She is making this be "relevant" and "hip" when that shouldn't be the case as it will make the show be outdated quickly.

Like Alastor having these random words in his vocabulary "clout, podcast, that's the tea, and other phrases". Valentino having a pimping not simping mug. She wants her characters to be put in timeperiods fine. Then SHOW THEM by their actions and words, but they just act like a bunch of California zoomer teens. Their views should clash with eachother constantly, and views in politics/ personal preferences should always be pushed with eachother because of how dated their lives are.

I need to find that post again that said that these nepo babies for having any actual experiences or hardships is why the current state of animated media is so horrendous. How before stories would be created and told based on these experiences with family and friends, travel and hobbies, but these people have literally nothing. They're all spoiled kids brought up in the same leftist sheltered groups where the worst treatment they got was maybe getting insulted once or being told to stop being a sped.

Essentially the consequences of a generation of spoiled kids whose parents let tumblr raise them (and if not literally tumblr, then something spiritually close)

Like I would honestly love to have them clash with eachother and have all these different view points. Knowing Viv I think all of her characters would have similar if not the same political views/views of the world.

Respecting sex workers, LGBTQ+ inclusion, women's rights, abortion rights, immigrant/minority rights, inclusion and others I'm sure.

But in actuality they wouldn't act like this.

Alastor should be raised in segregation, and have some kind of trauma from the great depression, have some form of misogyny and he should not be okay with AngelDust because he's fucking gay. And being a part of the black community currently the culture still has trouble with the inclusion community.

AngelDust should be fucking racist to Alastor because of his mafia background as they HATED black people and there was tons of targeted crime to the community, as well as in that timeperiod segregation just ended, he should have internal homophobia (which I added in my rewrites) and fucking be a misogynist as women rights would get you lobotomized.

Husk would be the more "progressive" of them as hes in the 70's maybe have him have some form of homophobia but it's again self inflicted because he's pan (which wouldn't be a thing in that period) he would be seen as a freak liking men and women, and be more accepting of colored folk. (As well as knowing Viv if Keith plays him he might just be black now who fucking knows)

Since the leaks confirmed Alastor os now officially actually brown skinned with curly hair when alive-

-There is no way he wasn't treated like every other black person. Makes his backstory more confusing as to how he got away with so much for so long and was such a popular media personality.

Makes me wonder why do this retcon when his demon form still looks white as fuck. Wouldn't be hard to make his hair/fur as like a little curly like this or deepen his skin. Velvette has dark skin like she would have as a human.

In actuality they were often treated worse whites would be disgusted there's any Caucasian in him, and black people often disregarded them and didn't see them as fully part of their community/ saw them as part of their abusers.
They were often left to their own devices, I am mixed myself and it's still a problem because no race really wants to "claim you" so you don't belong anywhere. Nobody really talks about this.

I'm mixed too (not black, mind you) so I get it but also I meant specifically the fact that Alastor is dark skinned and curly haired enough that he passes as fully black.

I don't expect Vivzie to ever put any race issues in her show though that aren't basic libshittery

Maybe it's just the art style but for me he looks like a Mexican or a Spainard. Maybe it's his hair doesn't scream black, his features looks white to me personally. I wonder if Viv has any black friends or people she associates with.
