Seriously, even from the very first game, the AI was retarded and that was over twenty years ago. What the hek attracts people to this garbage?

I was really into the alt-historical setting combined with near-ish future scifi, all the way from 1 to Syndicate. But then it was an era I couldn't give less of a shit about in Origins and the series became a parody of open world uber-slop game design.

If this was a decade plus ago and Ubisoft released Shadows back when the fans wanted them to do a Japan entry it would've been GotY material, but now it's the exact opposite and could be the game that marks when all the little problems became an existential problem for the company.

Haven't played ass creed since the 360, is the animus genetic memory shit still a thing? I remember in the old games you need someone related to the historical character in the machine, I assumed the lady and nogg would get together to explain that but apperatetly darkie is fruity so how's that work? I know they've basically abandoned the modern era story but i thought they at least payed some lip service to the animus concept, I guess they're just lucky and some found some blasian released to both.

There's a variety of other tools which store memory in the series. E.g. they have some so that when Altair fucks that templar woman and swandives away, you can still find out what happened to him in the desmond saga.

In addition, there's been plenty of Asscreeds where the premise is they've taken some unknown's DNA and just let anyone look into it.

I'm sorry, but I can't let this slide. AC: Shadows is made by Ubisoft, and Ubisoft is not a triple-a studio. With the budget, staff, and effort they out into their games, they are the first AAAA studio.
Let's at least refer to the studio by its proper rating as Ubisoft gets fucked in the ass harder than Yasuke fucks Oichi in Jonathan Dumont's and Charles Benoit's goon seshs.
