Assassin's Creed thread

So, now that most of the world's population is awake, it looks like Shadows has capped out at ~41k which is closer to what I expected.
That said: still fucking pathetic for a AAA game with this much marketing behind it.
The fact this game can't crack past the all time peak of fucking Balatro is wild to me.

One of their main consultants was a fujoshi who wrote books about priests fucking underage boys, combine that with Lockley who wrote the entire Yasuke fanfic pretending it was legit to begin with, and you end up with a gay black dude in Japan doing kool-aid man charges through walls as a samurai booty warrior.

His impromptu rant reveals quite a bit tho. Seems like his audience is sick of bullshit representation nonsense in games and all he does is tell them to fuck off. That's the recipe for audience retention, works like a charm.

I'd be curious to see how much of AC:S's potential playerbase have gone with that new Koei game by Ninja Theory.

I only played it very briefly, it ran like absolute dogshit like all KT pc ports do at launch, but it almost looks like it may have purposely been made to eat Shadows's lunch: two playable and customizable characters, a lot of systems adapted from the NIOH games which have a cult following, and otherwise generally muscling in on GhoTsu and AC's gameplay with more interesting combat.

Can't do the numbers comparisons right this minute, though.

That game has been out for a year on consoles and at this point, I think most of NT's PC audience is aware of how ass their ports are. Shit, I wanna play it but I'm not even going to bother pirating it until the performance issues are addressed :optimistic:.

At this point, after the USAID revelations alone (not that we needed them), I would 100% believe it if someone learned Fink blackrock bucks were used to buoy some of those trash sales. I'm only half joking here. I don't think any organization, entertainment or otherwise, should be given the "benefit of the doubt" in this clown age. So many of these fuckers are turning out to be cultural marxist proxies.
