A really rough estimate based on minimum wage is that the Indians can be 30% the cost of an American employee, however you'd need at least three to five Indian employees to do the same work plus one American one to look over it and check mistakes. It's basically a matter of CEOs being penny pinchers who are too stupid to actually do the math and realize it would be cheaper to just hire one skilled American.

Is it because AAA titles are now openish world games where you walk around between dozens of different minigames someone has to program?
