I mentioned this in the thread for the leaked footage, but the CW's trademark desaturation is the main reason I'm glad this was canned. The cartoon is so bright and colorful while everything the CW makes is drab and dull. While I was watching Disparu's Gotham Knights reviews, I had to take his word for it that one of the characters had blue hair until I got a close look at her in the sunlight.

To add on, you can really understand this as supply and demand. The buttplug and cock ring industry has never suffered because it MARKETS, especially to LGBT. They make profits, theres lots of demand. But gay as fuck media? outside very niche stuff, porn, or stuff in LIMITED budgets, this wont work, what DRAWS interest for being gay pushes away interest for others. Even the movie Bros probably could be fine if budget was realistic in that its ONLY going to sell to fags, but the problem is things will market to super niches, like gays, or woke modern audience crowd, it alienates normal buyers, and theres few interested in it.. And if you spent 20 million making it, yeah, you ARE NOT making that money back. Its why dragon age vielguard fucked up so bad, it pandered to gays, spent millions, and there were NOT hundreds of thousands of gays buying it, but there was that many refusing to buy. You cannot market to 1% of the population and expect 10% of the population sales numbers, it LITERALLY does not work.

The driving issue behind "get woke, go broke" is actually pretty simple and the specifics of the messaging aren't the important part.

Companies want to be hip and cool with the youth. They see a bunch of young people on social media telling people what they want. Bigwig corpos are too out-of-touch to understand that those loud young'uns are not only a very small minority, but don't even want their product in the first place.

I haven't seen enough of this guy's content to know if this video is a noticeable dip in quality, but the first five minutes of this video were completely tortuous. A random minor controversy from 6 years ago over a movie nobody cares about being stretched out into oblivion and repeated ad nauseum. I've noticed that a lot of far-left media reviewers introduce their reviews with either random politisperging, condemning the creators or moralising about why they're consuming a work of art whenever there's a modicum of controversy surrounding the film in question or the people involved, which I think is very telling of where their intentions lie. Just talk about the movie, bro. I don't understand how they get it so wrong every time.

Filipinos literally have an official friendship day with Spain. If there's one thing notable about the country's relationships, it was that it was colonized by three different countries and yet the Filipinos have particularly positive relationships with all of them at present.

People like Saberspark cannot fathom the idea that there are people out there who don't devote their lives to seething nonstop over historical grievances they weren't even alive to have personally been affected by.

He would "convinently" ignore such things, and especially ignore the fact that the "colonists", that is, Europeans brought a much better life for the "injuns" who didn't have a good lifestyle for the most part. "but what about the Mayas, Incas and Aztecs" one would ask - yeah, well, those were three societies of many different tribes along the Mesoamerica.

Don’t forget, the Aztecs routinely staged phony wars to capture people to sacrifice to their gods. The heart rippings were bad enough, but I think some people were flayed alive, forced to kill each other in arena battles…oh, and children were beaten to death until their tears satisfied the rain god. Those are the ones I remember off the top of my head.

The Philippines is a particularly egregious example because, from what little knowledge I have on the inner workings of Philippine history, even the country's own national hero didn't believe in independence from Spain. He was seeking equal treatment, representation, and mutual cooperation. When the revolutionaries were at his door, he even said he believed the Philippines wasn't ready for independence and that there was still so much to gain while being a Spanish colony.

Also, any Filipino you ask (and I did ask a couple of friends from there) would say that colonization period that is negatively looked back upon in Philippine history was the Japanese occupation during WWII, so that generally flies in the face of the whole "muh evil white people" narrative.

So terrified, even, that a lot of indigenous groups sided with Spain against the Aztecs because they also had enough of being subject to the bullshit that @Grand Duke Snowfall outlined. Even a lot of "colonialism bad" types generally accept the violent portrayals of the Aztecs in media in a vacuum because that's just what they were.
