Correct, most of my life I had read and write in English despite not being the main language where I live, and I had to learn it through sheer force of will. Being helped by the internet and videogames is also a factor, but it's not fully complete to properly feel English, even if I constantly think in it.

Honestly, if I were in charge of SNAP, i'd keep it to the basics: Meats (no T bone's or porterhouses, keep it to frozen/raw chicken, ground beef, etc), fruits, veggies, water, (Gatorade maybe?), breads, beans/staples, and seasonings. If you wanna buy Krave (a personal favorite of mine) or Pop Tarts or whatever, use your own money, but SNAP is only for the essentials to survive on. Also, yearly (if not quarterly) updates of income, etc
Hot foods (restaurants etc) are not eligible for SNAP so they can't expand it beyond grocery stores and gas stations.
