only way cyraxx gets back on his pc is if someone sends him a new one, or pays for a repairman to come and install a new motherboard, which would probably surpass the cost of the whole pc anways. no way tardraxx knows how to flash the bios chip manually, or even replace the motherboard. this dumb fuck would break everything somehow if he could even read to see how its done anyways.

If the malware was in the UEFI environment, the only thing that one could do would be to flash the UEFI/BIOS to remove it.

For those that don't know this is the only way of fixing what he fucked up. Hooking up an external jumper to the tiny ROM chip on a board full of chips that all look the same, getting the correct bios, and writing it onto the chip bit by bit. This needs knowledge of the hardware being worked on, a flashing tool, flashing software, a working computer. None of which the 43 has, nor can use correctly. I don't even know if there's a computer shop in the area that's competent enough to. Sally's certainly not gonna pony up the money to fix it that's for sure.

Flashing a BIOS in-line is a terrible idea. Removing it from the circuit to program is the only way to ensure it comes out correctly.

I would only use a device like what you are depicting if I was truly desperate and didn't have a proper EPROM programmer.

Excuse my techno sperging, but allow me to give my two cents.

It is incredibly difficult to infect hardware components from the OS level. However it is possible. Most likely if someone had indeed infected his computer they used LogoFAIL. It was found in 2023 and compromised basically all motherboards.

If he had not updated the motherboard with a patch since the exploit came out then it makes sense. Can someone hand me a timeline of when he got the motherboard? I could also look at the version number myself I suppose from the video.

A bad bios flash is not really possible? Most OEMs check for a signature before it is flashed. So if they somehow bypassed that, I'd be more impressed.
