From the context of when he emphasized "I'm coming down from it a little bit" it sounded like he was offering an excuse as to why, after being so angry at everybody about the coke bullet to the point of needing to text everyone as though they were practically barricaded into different rooms in the same house, Kayla's apologies that he's described before got him to cool off enough to sit back down with Nick and Kayla and the kids for a board game while April continued sulking upstairs. Then Nick and Kayla would have to have left sometime later after the board game, probably around the time when Aaron left to drop off the kids with Ashley, and the self-harm stuff wasn't until after he got back from dropping off the kids and he and April were finally alone to resume the fight that began earlier. Under that interpretation there wouldn't need to have been anyone else there, and his pauses for cryptic references to "other people" were just him going out of his way to not violate release conditions by mentioning Kayla.

Under another interpretation, he could have meant that the throuple mostly stayed upstairs together until Nick and Kayla eventually left, in which case the "couple other people" playing a board game with Aaron and Aaron's kids in the interim definitely would have been someone else, but who on earth could that even have been?
