Honestly, I feel like she'd be better off if she'd been born in a time when crazy houses were still a thing.

Deinstitutionalization has been a real positive for people who might have otherwise been condemned to a life of unnecessary confinement and are instead able to live independently, have fulfilling romantic relationships, and contribute to the rest of society. Unfortunately, public opinion isn't great at finding a healthy middle ground, though, and a lot of truly exceptional individuals who actually  do need to be very carefully monitored and have their behavior restricted are instead "free" to be trapped in a Hell of their own making. Zoey/Tiffany definitely falls into that second category.

Being at liberty to do what she wants is actually worse, for her, than getting shot up with thorazine every morning in a padded cell would have been, because there are always going to be serious, real world consequences for not living in the real world if you don't have that option. Right now, Zoey's a teenage lolcow put up in an apartment by her mom and spamming her episodes in a public forum. That's not a sustainable situation, though. Really, that scenario where she ends up in a group home after an underage edgelord obsessed with Aleister Crowley and Otto Strasser reveals the severity of her disability by convincing her to send them, as a minor, violent, degrading pornography with a dedication to the Order of 9 Angles? That is probably the golden ending for this particular saga if she doesn't either get her shit together or get committed. Some of the things that you see happen to women (and, to a lesser but still horrific extent, men) after their natural supports either get run off or age out of being able to care for them make me feel like the odds of even an omnibenevolent God turning his back on mankind are about 50/50. Also, like this thread's probably going to go full horrorcow if she doesn't get struck down on the road to Dumb-asscus by a literal miracle.

On an unrelated note, I just figured out how to use my Satanic gangstalking powers to hack the camera on Zoey's tiny phone. I couldn't find the bathtub, but I did manage to obtain conclusive evidence that she is, in fact, a Therian:

@Bothriolepis While everything you've said is true and accurate, I also point out that she has markedly improved. I am not defending her in any capacity and I also believe she should be wrangled and medicated into compliance. She has a habit of falling in with particularly bad people and doing really stupid shit to gain attention. The sperg outs she has here are, in my opinion, a healthier alternative. Even though we egg her on and even instigate it, the grooming discords and the pedohunting and the other distasteful stuff has decreased recently, possibly due to the medication, and I think it brings about that oh so human connection in people in this thread that maybe there is hope for her. I've said a few dozen times that the only thing stopping her from a retarded death by murder/starvation/sex trafficking/exposure is her mother. I do not agree with how mom is handling this but I mean, mom ain't playing with a full deck either, but the mom does seem engaged. I dunno. Trying to see those silver linings, lots of people would have thrown Tiffany out the second they legally could have. If you work where you say you work, you know this is frequently the case.

Nah unless she power levels to the point where she can financially support herself I vote straight to the nuthouse. It's not fair that these lazy spergs like Colton and Zoey get to sleep all day and sperg all night while living off our tax dollars. Any retard can dig a ditch or break rocks at the poor house.

I'm not sure if I can share your optimism, but I do agree with you here. She's very lucky that her living situation isn't worse already, and if she really is making sustainable improvement, then that's a good thing, and probably is a result of her living situation being stable. Sometimes, hitting rock bottom is a good thing, but I feel like Zoey's got a power drill. If she ever does to get to a better place in life, it'll be because of gradual self-improvement, and you can't do that if you're simultaneously doing unspeakable things to share a tweaker's tent. I'll also say, without a shred of irony, that it really is a whole hell of a lot better for her if she's raging at us rather than interacting with the sort of Discord faggotry that Elaine's descended into. While it's obviously not psychologically healthy for her to go into a splitting rage in her own lolcow thread, 764 might actually, intentionally groom her into killing herself.

It's been awhile since I worked there, actually (I got out a few months before Covid hit), but families who abandoned their kids as soon as they legally could were the rule rather than the exception. A lot of the families that were exceptions actually went in the opposite direction, too. They either ditched their kids or had them taken by the state before they turned 18. Virtually none of them visited, and there were a few who would get the cops called if they tried. I was kind of joking about it earlier, but it really did change the way I saw the world for the worse.

That doesn't mean her mom isn't negligent, and I'm not going back on anything that I've said so far, but you're not necessarily wrong.

So there's a problem with this post. Who is paying for the nuthouse? It's still going to cost the tax payer. There's a big difference between Colton and Zoey though and I don't think it's fair to really compare them. Zoey knows there's something wrong with her and is seeking help, Colton refuses to believe he's mentally ill and needs help. Zoey can improve her life, Colton cannot.

I'm not optimistic about her chances, no, but when you do the mental health trenches and see as many Tiffanys as I have, you just want them to start defying the odds. She's locked in an unwinnable fight and there are million horrible outcomes and a small handful of acceptable ones.
The bank of mom always closes its doors; she'll get tired, she'll realize her daughter won't get better, she'll die. One way or the other that line will one day be cut. I don't want to salt a horrible wound for the girl but she knows what death is, but doesn't understand that she's surviving on the grace of a mother that keeps her at arm's length, maybe for her own sanity, maybe to protect the rest of the family, I dunno. The girl has no contingency plan for this, and doesn't even know what the phrase means. Tiffany is a high school drop out and it shows. When she is left to her own devices she...well just read the thread, the biggest threat to herself will always be her, she comes by the title Objectfucker honestly. Even if she miraculously stops the BPD sinewave, then what? you'd have to strip her to the studs and start over. She's got a learning disability, comorbidities as you've pointed out, she hates bathing, possibly some form of GAD.
If Tiffany hits rock bottom she will be trafficked at best or dead at worst. And that's not personal opinion, that's just plain old statistics.
