By Jove, he's the white Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Blaming Pirate for the DDoS is giving him far too much credit.
It paints him as actually being able to do something which in my opinion is a positive for him. So its best not to even consider the notion of it when you already know he isn't capable of it.
Can't you just pay some chinese retards 100 bucks to ddos your enemies for you?

What if I just wanted to buy the skin for completion purposes, but don't want my money going to a ferret peepeepoopoo dungeon?
If the Skin uses Steam's backend to give access to it, and said access is no more than a tiny .dll file checking a box than an actual download for the skin itself, the CreamAPI Unlocker will work for it, especially if the game lacks any kind of DRM watchdog shit to catch people using CreamAPI. Also an additional point is that since it's a Steam game, use a program known as Steamless to remove the DRM, and then use the Goldberg Steam Emulator which can just give you all the DLC anyways.
Don't actually know if it'll work with Rivals of Aether 2 but many Steam games that have DLC don't separate downloads between the game and the optional content packs you can buy for it. You buy a DLC with most games and it'll "download" something that is basically a 1kb file telling Steam that you have permission to use it.

CreamAPI triggers Antivirus but it's safe, though if your Antivirus cannot have wildcards in exceptions, you'll have to essentially baby sit your antivirus and manually allow each smoke32.dll that it tries to say is either a trojan, or other type of malware. Also depends on the actual DRM of Rivals of Aether, if the game only checks for Steam online mod, then Goldberg will work, especially without EAC, Denuvo or some other DRM-enforcement program, if it has any of those, then CreamAPI might be your best bet, but they also probably won't be above revoking your licence. You might be better off using a 3rd-party key seller like Eneba if you want a key, but you're still ultimately feeding the pipeline of giving them money.

Also his question of clone-eating, ignoring the prevalence of prion disease (which often fucks up the brain and nervous system) is not a biological question but a philosophical one, and the answer is that you are not the same person. Cannibalism ranks pretty high on the totempole of things that will change you, but in reality, just going to sleep and waking up however much longer, that will still change you all the same and you'll never be the same person you were across the board.
At the least? The person you were a minute ago is mostly the same, they're just a minute younger than you. The You who considered eating 50 clones of yourself over a month or so is radically different from the You who is now 42 clones in.
I get an egotistical nepobaby wouldn't understand this, it usually requires a depth of character to understand that concept let alone accept it, and people like him usually lack in that department (unfortunately).

If you have a problem with a post, report it, you're not a moderator and you're not in charge of site culture. Publicly whinging and getting into a shit flinging contest about who or what posts things that meet your standards (as if anyone gives a shit about them) only serves to further enshitten a thread when an inevitable slapfight happens.

If you think something in a particular post is wrong, correct it, doing these wide cast callouts to nobody in particular is a pointless exercise in soapboxing.
Not trying to drag this out, just want to state what my point is. I disagreed with linking a ferret’s death to hoarding and used that as a platform to criticize some of the recent posts in the thread (ChatGPT leading to steam forum shittery). The general argument I was making was that people should refrain from drawing conclusions from evidence (especially with data) they gathered on their own or through AI. I’m not "whining" or trying to enforce some personal standard, I just think it’s retarded to throw out baseless accusations when we know people take posts here as fact. If my wording on my posts made it seem like I'm trying to moderate or make myself seem above others here then I apologize because that wasn't my intention.

At the end of the day, people are going to believe whatever they want, and there’s not much we can do about that. But what can be avoided is giving Jason an easy win by posting weak arguments or straight up shitty evidence. That’s the real issue here, not what gets posted but how it ends up helping him more than criticizing him.

giving Jason an easy win
I think this mindset is a bit of a misunderstanding of what gossiping is about. This is no team sports, Jason cannot "win" as whatever silly shit we archive here is strictly his own making and the site should not interfere otherwise. People will also speculate, as it is natural when gossiping and not always have peer reviewed data to do so, because that's a bit silly of a requirement to speculate. I get that there's a more evidence based slant to the site at large (what with archiving fucking everything), but at its heart we're here to talk about retards.

As for the GPT shit, yeah, agree mostly because users should be clear about when they post AI gen shit, the topic of "is he doing charity fraud or not?" was interesting but that muddies the waters. More importantly there were some retards cow tipping, which is strictly not a thing done here and you are absolute right to call out.

Big MMOs and online games in general get DDoSed all the time, I recall Path of Exile and FFXIV as two examples which had to deal with it, often stating in public announcements that the issues were DDoS related. I think the idea that a DDoS happening on WoW means it has to be Maldy is patently ridiculous.

That and well, I don't know shit about networking but I reckon you'd need quite a hefty chunk of bandwidth to affect something like the WoW servers. Unsure $100 would cut it, even if the chinks were to use a botnet.
Except he lacks the PHD or the experience in the field (QA tester isn't being a programmer).
Honestly, science negro runs his mouth about fields he knows nothing about as if he has a Ph.D. in literally everything, so I think the comparison is apt. Also posting shit like this which shows a fundamental lack of understanding and respect for epistemology.

Well, to quote myself, is it really entitlement if you actually always get what you want?

Blizzard has went back on their publicly stated rule of no resurrections (even from DDoS) due to OnlyFangs threatening to quit and for the first time ever is reviving dead characters.

And people wonder why half of Gen Z lists being a streamer as the #1 most desired job.
Cross posting this as well.

He didn't have anything to do with the DDoS'ing, but even if he did then he ultimately ended up cucking himself by Blizzard showing just how little they gave a shit about all of his reports trying to get these people banned. Not only did they not listen to his histrionics but they also decided to break their own rule to bend over backwards to keep these people around.

Many of these people(grubby, xaryu, savix, ziqo, soda etc.) have been blizzard ambassadors for decades, so it makes sense they would accommodate them. Meanwhile mald burnt all his bridges while still at blizzard by being a lazy minimum wage nepo-hire and then spending 7 years shitting on the company instead of finishing his indie game. It's pretty easy to see who the devs at blizzard would side with.

It's now my head cannon that instead of doing it for an easy PR win, they're doing it specifically as a middle finger to Maldy

Sucks to be whatever poor sap in customer service there that's going to get a flood of tickets for the next year of people begging for their characters to be revived. You know, in addition to the normal amount they have to filter through. Making sure livestreamers aren't getting spammed/harassed in-game makes sense(the streamers are doing your marketing for you), but this is stupid. Plus what happens when this group fucks up again raiding during an ongoing DDOS that people knew about?

That is a pretty damned funny thought.

I haven't meticulously read all the posts in the thread, but I wonder if anyone knows just how awful ferrets smell? I don't mean their bodily wastes, but in general. Now pontificate the aroma of 100 of the little fuckers, JFC.
Nah I’m pretty sure Jason has been very clear that his ferrets don’t stink because he doesn’t wash them. See, what lesser minds do is wash their ferrets, what make them stink. Jason doesn’t do that so his don’t stink dude.
if there were any doubt this pretty much confirms that he works on heartbound at most 5 days of the month

that is if he actually does work on it for the rest of the week, and does deliver on time
It’s pretty funny to see Steam’s “X months since updated” is actually motivating him to develop his game. I guess he’s one of those people severely lacking in executive control and he needs a Sword of Damocles hanging over his head to do some work. Not really surprising with how much he game burns. His neurochemistry must be fried.

i wonder if hes gonna have the balls to release an april fools update with his current reputation

So what was in the march update? I dont play the game but if the game before this march update was a 100% (i know it's not finished), how big was the update? 20%? 10%? Nothing?

If I recall correctly it was 80% bragging about all the interactions a new room would have in the future, and one actual interaction implemented.

Don't you know he's got 20 years experience hiking and mushroom foraging? Why would you question his idea to start a mushroom farm? Insane behavior.
You'd think a guy named "Thor" would try to work out once in a while but he looks like he's made out of old gunt scrapings from the Rage Pig and loose hair they found in Styx's shower drain.
