Contrary to what the feature said, Lucas Roberts does not have a Taser and does not Tase himself. He merely has a cheap chinese mall kiosk "stun gun" that is not worse than a static shock from some heckin valid coder socks.
To confuse it more the Taser brand makes stun guns. In either case, the idiots in Ireland also do not know the difference, and all of them are illegal. They count the correct Taser (with firing probs), stun guns, and pepper spray as "firearms".

Other options are: he’s faking being shocked (although it looks pretty real) or is using some non-mall-ninja device such as a TENS unit turned up to 11, or a spark gas igniter or similar.
Those wouldn’t count as illegal weapons but still risk getting him banned from twitch or worst case another swatting on the suspicion that it is something spicy.

This was just something Keffals claimed to be doing, going over the border into the south so technically leaving the country, then reentering.
Also intentionally claiming that Belfast is part of the Republic of Ireland as EFNO is a republican (The Irish kind).
That's why I included both versions of the law.
Regardless is breaking the law by just possessing it so is liable to be arrested. Under UK law in specific it's illegal because it has no innocent purpose, but the UK bans basically everything

Basically everything you stated here is incorrect. Some people have already corrected you on tasers vs stun guns, but no tasers or stun guns are not illegal let alone felonies in most states. There have been a slew of bans overturned in the last 10 years. I believe they are still illegal in Rhode Island as a case gets litigated, there are a a few states where it depends on jurisdiction, and there are a few states where there are restrictions such as possessing a weapons permit or professional credential. Tasers and stun guns are not regulated in the overwhelming majority of states.
