They already had shadows of the empire.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the Empire is the most popular faction with players in every single Star Wars game where you can choose.
What isn't there to like? The Empire brought law and order to a galaxy after centuries of mismanagement by the corrupt and decadent Republic.I don't think it's a coincidence that the Empire is the most popular faction with players in every single Star Wars game where you can choose.
In Rebels it's confirmed that Alderaan was a major funding source for the early Rebellion and even helped them get those hammerhead ships you see in Rogue One that take down that Star Destroyer. The Empire was well within its rights to destroy Alderaan. It was like Sherman's March to the Sea but with a superlaser. Thanks to the Sequels, Alderaan really does come across as the bad guys who totally deserved to be obliterated.
I'm one of the few people that prefers to play as the rebels in Battlefront 2, Imperial Officers and Dark Troopers don't compare to bothan spies and wookiee warriors.I don't think it's a coincidence that the Empire is the most popular faction with players in every single Star Wars game where you can choose.
They're animals and need to be slaughtered as animals.Sandpeople
Disgusting creatures that will strip your starship of it's parts. They're literally gypsies so they have it coming.Jawas
Both took on an Inquisitor and almost won. Who says they didn't try to kill the stormtroopers who came to their home to ask them where their adopted son is?Luke's aunt and uncle
The Sandpeople deserve everything they get.Of course, the flip side is they killed a ton of innocents like the Sandpeople and Jawas and Luke's aunt and uncle, none of whom knew they had the DS plans.
Even in KOTOR when I can try to talk to them, it's barely worth the trouble of getting the Storyteller's Gaffi stick. It's a case where being a murder hobo is the most virtuous action to take. The Sandpeople deserve everything they get.
Tarkin's Doctrine of Fear failed though. The destruction of Alderaan furthered the Rebel cause. Loyal Imperials from Alderaan revolted after they heard what happened, like TIE pilot and future Rogue Squadron ace Tycho Clechu, who was talking to his family via Holonet just as the Death Star destroyed the planet. In Rebels it's confirmed that Alderaan was a major funding source for the early Rebellion and even helped them get those hammerhead ships you see in Rogue One that take down that Star Destroyer. I won't exactly call 'em innocent nor people.Of course, the flip side is they killed a ton of innocents like the Sandpeople
Maybe not, but stormtroopers went in and killed some sandpeople just so they could attack Jawas and leave their gaffi sticks behind to make the attack look like the work of sandpeople. And killed jawas just because they had the droids and sold them. The Empire killed a lot of beings just to tie up loose ends when it came to the droids.I won't exactly call 'em innocent or people.
Of course, the flip side is they killed a ton of innocents like the Sandpeople and Jawas and Luke's aunt and uncle, none of whom knew they had the DS plans.
One of my favorite things about the Star Wars Republic comics is that they made Anakin a big time racist against tusken raiders. Compare this to the Disney Star Wars where Anakin is deeply commited to making sure the trans clone trooper's pronouns are respected (that's not even a joke)I won't exactly call 'em innocent nor people.
