Was able to play a bit of it. It's actually really fun. It's an inhernetly unconventional game wtih an initially steep learning curve, but it also feels really fun to play. It also has mech piloting, and that's my fucking shit. Funnily enough, people are getting filtered by both the gameplay and the game's price which is hilarious.

If ville made the game in Unity or Unreal, it would be a lot more stable, but I'm saying that Godot is inherently a bad choice because, it lacks many of the tools that speed up workflows for both 2D and 3D games, this was a problem in Cruelty Squad even, that the game's renderer was fucked up and it didn't work correclty on some iGPUs, basically, if you use Godot you are locking yourself to making and developing the systems that Godot lacks, which is a whole lot of them. If you are choosing an engine to base your game on and you end up with Godot whose systems need to be remade and created, essentially making you create a custom Godot version, why are you even looking for an engine in the first place? Should just bite the bullet and use one of the more stable and more sane Engines, or choose another OSS engine.

The first thing they teach you in gamedev school is that if someone says a part of your game sucks and feels bad to play, you tell them they're wrong and it's like that on purpose because of game design

It's disappointing that Ville is fanning the flames on social media instead of just letting people figure it out. It's day 1 on a game where you're intended to bash your head against it, why's he so upset at the first impressions?
If he's really worried that people aren't getting it, there should probably be a more prominent link to the official zine that details the gameworld. I think some of it (the locations particularly) is a bit spoileriffic but the mech catalogue divulges a lot of key information.
I did once get instanuked by a guard through a window like the reviewer but I've been dicking about in the CRYPT WORLDS and the enemy AI seems fine there.

Not a dev but This channel is every estereotype from this thread combined for the average troonsloper retro ps1 and anime enthusiast who is a troon himself.


This guy was kinda sad, he has since deleted the videos but he started the channel as just some nerd guy and you could see each video as he progressively became sadder and more anorexic until trooning out. Like a real time mental fallout. Shame because he could have much more decent content if he wasn't larping and always trying to insert fetish stuff.

Even does music and it sounds exactly as you would expect troon music to sound (spoiler: is shoegaze and lofi electronic with annoying anime girl voices sampled in)

Haven’t played it yet but I’ll download it when I get home. Can’t name my sources but there is very little tranny involvement in this. There has been a ton of feature creep which led to its release delay. There’s little-to-no tranny devs, the majority of developers are South Americans and a few Japanese. Besides the public voice actor controversies and a few private schizo-spergeouts (such as from a Chilean 3D animator/modeler on the team) there hasn’t been anything noteworthy.
