Hold on to your butts, buttholders.
The Resistance is out in full effect on Central Florida
Scared yet chuds?
also as a followup this is at a Storage Joint, that's a building or two OVER from a Tesla shop
no clue what dark magicks are keeping them from walking two hundred feet to the building they're supposed to be mad about, but they're instead hanging out closer to a Frito plant so they'll stink even worse from the fried shit smell

This bears repeating. If Trump was truly this dictatorial figure, those people would be arrested and sent to gulags or reeducation centers. That small, but important fact flies over their heads.

Are you saying that recipients should be able to use SNAP at restaurants, if so this is one of the more retarded suggestions for fixing SNAP.

there is nothing gained in requiring people to put their own frozen tendies in the oven rather than just buying them at the drivethrough

When I am paying for your groceries you will buy what I think is appropriate.

if you are actually a net taxpayer, which ok I'll believe it if you say you are, then you have a fulltime job at least. That means you will not be the one making the determination of what groceries can and cannot be bought. That will be a government employee, paid for by your tax dollars (that honestly I don't actually believe you pay more than you get back.... then again I guess sleazy car salesmen make money)

The main problem with this is that the job isn't paying enough. (edit: compared to asset prices i.e. homes, stocks) I feel like it's better to have the government make sure businesses can support workers with liveable wages.

how exactly do you plan on doing this? and are you sure it's cheaper and more efficient than the system we have now? I'm open to being convinced.

As opposed to a government redistribution program, which creates bad incentives and is full of abuse without any kind of market force stemming that issue.

but in return consider that it might be the least bad system possible. it is like cash, so protects market incentives (unlike WIC which is nearly a pure agribusiness subsidy and massively distorts industry) and it has resulted in the complete disappearance of childhood malnutrition even in junkie households.

I do think redistribution systems are necessary for the people who slip through the cracks. But we should make sure that the jobs (and the pay) are there first.

please tell me your plans for this. In the 20th century multiple European countries tried it. You can still see the results in the populace - why do you think the Irish act so retarded?

LTT tried pretty much what you're suggesting and there's been multiple occasions where they almost lost everything because of single pieces of hardware dying, and it hasn't even always been hard drives that caused the issues
LTT are morons. Any data loss they experienced has been user error.

It was Jessica Chobot of IGN, and it was absolutely talked about at the time as sleazy and bad practice.
We'll bang OK?

Use government grants to help build manufacturing jobs. This was already done with the CHIPS act. Use tariffs to further incentivize domestic manufacturing. The reason it's cheaper is because instead of the money that American spend going to subscription services, banks in the form of mortgages and credit, or other countries. This way you're giving the working class the money from the government grants, and from the market. Even better if we could get into the export industry with other countries. This could even help our immigration problem. If, instead of paying to bring immigrants here for a better life. We traded their minerals and natural resources we need for finished manufactured goods we produce. which would improve their lives in their own countries. This would further give money to American working class families.

Imagine if we didn't import 8 million cars a year. Think about the nice middle class jobs that could make in America. Doubly if we made all the parts and the steel etc.

In short it's like subsidizing them on multiple fronts, as opposed to just one.

I'm not against redistribution. I understand that it is necessary. It is the worst possible "subsidy" for the working class.

Yeah but there's a difference between different types of white people. Look at the rivalries between the French and English or Swedish and Finnish.
Are Jews white, black, or asian?
What about Argentinians?

I'm intrigued. WTF are you talking about? There has never been any Asian unity, except by force.
The amalgamation of Asians known as present day China.

You'd think they would have started proper backups after the first time their megaserver catastrophically failed but no they just doubled down and built an even bigger, sketchier mega-er server (which, gasp, also catastrophically failed). I guess it's true that lolcows never learn

I generally agree with you. The current situation is one in which large employers are able to pay shit in a large part because of gibs.

But as a society we have to withdraw from gibs and we have the protect the most vulnerable while we do it.

I also do not want to see the creation of a mommytrack of government jobs with subsidized childcare. What are you describing requires a whole fuckton of government workers.

sorry I edited so fast you may not entirely agree with me now!

A large portion of that is you can't have a service only economy. You have to produce goods beyond speculative assets.

Hopefully gibs use will naturally drop off because people won't need them anymore. There will be holdouts, but I doubt they will be the majority.
