“Garment” is the word commonly used for these compression items. I’ve known many people that have needed them at one time or another, but none showed off the fact that they were wearing them, and always tried to keep them hidden under their clothing. It’s not hard for those trying not to attract attention and commentary they could then complain about. Long sleeves and/or long pants will easily hide them and can be summer weight.

Yes, and that she's continuing it because it "stabilizes her inflammation" as I surmised. I actually never saw that post, and I don't follow her at all on social media. But this many weeks post-surgery, I doubted that she was still using HBOT for wound healing, which by her own admission she isn't.

Of course she can do what she wants to her body and with her money. I just find her constant use of medical interventions to address her obesity very annoying. Using HBOT to "decrease my fatigue"? Okay, but her fatigue could also be decreased by not gorging herself, lowering her sugar intake, not swilling alcohol every other night, and getting off her butt and exercising. But I'm being redundant because we all already know that and have stated it many times, so enough said.

ETA: While HBOT can be used for severely anemic, critically ill patients who don't want or can't tolerate blood transfusions, it's definitely not a first-line treatment for most people with anemia. About a third of pre-menopausal women in the U.S. are anemic due to monthly blood loss, and most successfully treat it with iron or folic acid supplements, B12 injections, eating more iron-rich foods, and avoiding alcohol and caffeine (they decrease iron absorption).

Did Anna try any of these simpler approaches before squeezing her fat ass into a hyperbaric chamber? I don't know, but I doubt it. Much more dramatic to claim she needs HBOT to address this common condition.

Just be aware that there is no such thing when you purchase popcorn in a movie theater or a concession stand where the popcorn comes out of a general hopper. They made ensure no ADDITIONAL salt added, but all the kernels are popped in literal 'popcorn-flavored' salt and oil. The only way to get 'unsalted' popcorn is to air-pop it yourself and ensure it's straight popcorn kernels with no additional salt. This is why popcorn from a concessions stand is always so fucking delicious and has that particular flavor to it.

Even a normal bag of microwave popcorn you make at home is between 400 and 500 kcal, which kinda blew my mind when I read it on a bag somewhat recently. One of those bags is 2 servings, actually, and I have never seen anyone pop microwave popcorn, then eat half of the bag.

So anyway, I can see how stadium or movie popcorn (which are also much bigger in serving size) could be close to 2k calories. And once again, there is no mystery to Anna being a hamplanet. She eats 8-10k calories a day, which is why she is the size of 4-5 people. Because she eats for 4-5 people. Let me on her medical mystery podcast so I can solve the mystery for her.

I speculated a while back that Anna could hypothetically lose a lot of weight, if she stuck to non-sugar drinks with no calories, and stopped snacking between meals. She would not have to change her meal sizes for a while to just automatically lose weight. This popcorn situation proves my point - she ate literally twice the daily recommended calorie count in snacks and Starbucks alone!

Using the calculator.net calorie calculator and assuming she’s 600lbs, she could lose weight pretty much no matter what, if she just ate under 3,800 calories so she has a lot of leeway at her current size.

Of course she won’t, if she could she would’ve started 150 lbs ago. Her dedication to this munchie arc shows she is in deep, deep denial about what her problems are. She needs a therapist and an Overeaters Anonymous arc.

It’s true. Very overweight people are often vitamin D deficient as well.
Being very overweight means you’re in a constant state of chronic inflammation, which in turn increases a protein made by your liver called hepcidin, which decreases iron absorption . Hepcidin is an acute phase protein (ie one of the ones that increase fast during times of injury, trauma and disease. )
Anna is right in that she has Inflammation (TM) but the best way she could fix it, in fact the only way she will fix it is losing weight. Surgery will just make it worse.
The entire metabolism is thrown out of whack by bring that big. Your liver takes a massive hit, the fat itself pumps out and responds to hormones. Inflammation is a response that’s beneficial only if it’s short term - once it settles into a chronic pattern it’s really bad for you. No amount of hyperbaric anything will do a thing, but simply starting by losing ten percent of her weight would start to get her back on an even keel.

I think so. People enjoy stories of overcoming adversity, especially if they're real life.

Remi Bader took of 180lbs last year thanks to a bypass/reduction surgery, looks great. She lost some followers but those her find her style of obnoxious interesting are going to be following. Anna could do the same.

Yyyyyeah, I highly doubt that Scamron dipping into her lard pockets with an immersion blender is gonna do anything for her lymphatic system. She already has to get that MLD (manual lymphatic drainiage) treatment where some poor underpaid tech manually forces her "gurgling" ( ) lymphatic fluid to move. Breast cancer patients with radical mastectomies also get MLD after losing the lymph nodes in their armpits near the affected breast.

One of the hosts of the Lipodema Mamas podcast, also a Scamron patient, said that Scamron had sliced and diced her lower legs, but she hadn't gotten her upper legs done yet because "life got in the way." She now experiences painful swelling in her lower legs and believes it's because the lymphatic fluid has no way to circulate upwards because Scamron hasn't yet removed the lipodema in her upper legs. Which...........sure, maybe, but also maybe Scamron borked the lymphatic system in her lower legs and that's why they're swollen and painful.
