Fallout: The Frontier - Done, and it's a hilarious shitshow

Welp. Now that The Frontier is dead, may it remain as a monument to all "DLC" mods of what not to do and how not to manage a mod of large scale. I really hope mods like New Mexico and the ones for 4 look at this and go "Maybe I shouldn't let my fetish and pretentions into a mod like this". All that's left now would be for a "where are they now" style epilogue about all of the laughing stocks that got involved in this mod.

I don't know man given what kind of shit show the dev team was, and how nutty they acted. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a 11 minute video with half of it at a graveyard and the other half in a prison. With the last 1 minute being the one or two of the sanest dev team members living a happy normal life.

Most of the dev team is kinda there with their work but as you can guess bits of the wider community, as pozzed as they are, dont really acknowledge them like they used to back in the day

Their discords as one can guess are astro turfed to shit, the sneedclave gave the easiest "muh nazis" excuse ever and in spite of normal people leaving en-masse they still maintain the narrative that it was all 4chan /v/ commandos, they themselves elevate the actions of a couple bored anons to excuse their retardation
 
The Frontier is a cautionary tale that reminds that mod teams arent necessarily superior to a room of actually hired devs by a major coorporation. At the very least, if one of the devs is acting like a retarded fuck head, you can just fire him and not have to keep him around because he did most of the essential programming and he threatens to take it with him if you do send him away.

If you are going to involve others in your project, make sure there are legal agreements, just in case. They may not go full retard and sabotage your shit today but that doesnt stop them from going full retard tomorrow and then sabotage their shit....people be crazy these days.

Damn it really feels like after this mod came out it really opened the floodgates for narcissists and grifters who like hiding mods behind patreon paywalls to infest the skyrim and fallout modding scenes. I'm not sure what the re-work team was hoping to fix and how because the frontier will forever be scorned no matter what. Also doesn't help that apparently the guy who worked on the cars got ACK'ed in Ukraine (at least from what I've heard) so really there's no hope for a standalone car mod.

Should've just cut your losses.

Ukranian coder guy is still alive and releasing mods, but i dont think cars will ever be standalone simply because he wants to leave that shit behind and the vanilla worldspace sucks for vehcles

This is my favorite piece of Frontier meme media, but really all of this dude's videos on the game are great
Someone needs to re-package the armor and weapons from the game so they can be used without downloading this piece of shit. I really like the fireworks canon because it reminds me of the one from Dead Rising 2
