The Elder Scrolls

I doubt Parthuurnax will even come up, but if it does I don't doubt that he'll still be alive. 99.99% of players didn't kill him, and he's too good of a potential recurring character to kill off for some has been bitch.
Parthuurnax is entirely inconsequential for TES VI.
He remained secluded on High Hrothgar for eons before Skyrim, and would remain secluded there for eons more if left alive. It would be silly to include him in TES VI.
Only the outcome of the Civil War and the question of Talos worship would matter

The rumor from journos is that there will be ship battles and dragons in TES VI. So extra horrible stupidity
ship battles could work but knowing Bethesda it would be a massive failure considering how annoying I find the spaceship combat in Starfield to be, Dragons would be really dumb because they closed that story with Skyrim
Only the outcome of the Civil War
given the fact that TESVI likely takes place in Hammerfell the outcome of the Civil War wont matter too much imo, Hammerfell is already independent by the time Skyrim takes place, VI will likely take place in the backdrop of a Second Great War between the Empire and Aldmeri Dominion, with the Crowns and Forebearers being the two major factions, one of them wanting to help the Empire against the Dominion and the other wanting to stay neutral, the issue the Stormcloaks have (ban on Talos Worship) would be rendered moot by the Empire going to war with the Dominion since the Empire only banned the worship of Talos due to the Dominion enforcing it in the First War

I could not give less of a shit about my choices in previous Elderscrolls games having impact on future games. This just isn't the series for that, and Bethesda simply isn't capable of taking on the amount of work doing such a thing would require. I'd much prefer sticking with vague allusions and unreliable narrators trying to disprove eachother through in game books.

Plus I've seen what trying to cater to your retarded fanbases gay headcanon does to a series with Dragon Age. Elderscrolls has it bad enough as is.

Ship battles are not something that immediately jumps into my head with Elder Scrolls. I guess you've fought on boats before in redguard, daggerfall if you had a boat, and i think there was a fight in oblivion with one, but it wasn't really boat fights as much as you were on what was supposed to be a boat. There are other things I'd rather do than try and do nautical fights and as you said. There's no way bethesda would do them right. Its going to be starfield but in water.

Exactly. The less we know the better. I'm trying to remember how skyrim was handled. with Oblivion. All we knew was the gates were closed and the hero like peaced out after.
Morrowind I don't recall being mentioned much outside of other characters. But that's the best way to handle it.
The second you start to care about these things on any major scale you run into infinite branching bullshit.

And also expect Emil to make very light of mental illness and moral inner battles by claiming he almost became schizophrenic and lost and gained his faith a dozen times during the writing, probably because of hackneyed analogies to Trump, Israel/Palestine, and capital r Racism.

One struggle

Apart of Rikke and maybe Adelasia (which just uses a imperial armor set being a mercenary of the east empire company), vanilla game doesn't have fem soldiers for the Empire.
Meanwhile Stormcloaks have fem officers, fem soldiers amd even special dialogue when guarding cities.

What Todd mean with this?
Maybe the imperials have fitness standards and don't just let in anyone claiming to have a warriors heart.

So is there any real merit to the god head theory or is it just the fanfiction of Michael Kirkbride?

They should do it like how KOTOR 2 did it, with characters talking about possibilities, and the player can decide through dialogue choices which event actually happened, and what the previous player character did.

NPC #1: "Yeah, it's been a while after the Dragonborn helped the Stormcloaks liberate Skyrim from the Empire's weakness."

Player: "Are you imagining things? The Dragonborn killed Ulfric Stormcloak and planted the Imperial standard on Windhelm's walls!"

NPC#1: "Yeah, well maybe I was just having some wishful thinking. Maybe I wish the Dragonborn sided with the Stormcloaks instead of those damn Imperial scum."

You joke but this is unironically cut content because the game was rushed to meet the 11-11-11 release date.

That the Empire only lets in female volunteers because they're rich and fat enough to afford having some token women walk among the men, put on the armor, and play the role of a Legionnaire, whereas the Stormcloaks are grabbing every able-bodied man and woman for the field because they HAVE to. They're that desperate.

I remain cautiously optimistic.

I still doubt, but lets say it's real. It's A) a version incompatible with all the mods from the last 20 years, B) a purely cosmetic update with Unreal layered on top as the rumors suggest, which busts all mods that include texture work and almost certainly the rest, or C) a bare-bones uprezzing, which again probably busts all the mods.

So, what would the benefit of this be instead of waiting six months for Skyblivion?
