America produces a surprising amount of goods already. When Trump instituted limited tariffs the last time, it rebirthed the American steel industry. Limited pain, long term gain. Manufacturing is way more easy to reshore then it was fifteen years ago due to automation. It might take a year or two, with some subsidies and investment.

Russian troops at the front took huge losses and kept fighting. The revolt was the rear area garrison which was huge of 1 million troops in the two capitals. There was bread shortages for keeping those troops there. Those troops revolted as they didn't want to get sent to the front. They also revolt again in October. Then they were pretty much all shoot by the communists after they stopped being useful.
