DOOM

Retards are saying Doom The Dark Ages is woke because it has difficulty sliders. Though Doom has had a difficulty selection since the first game in 1993. You can either play it on super easy mode and spend your time running through practically empty maps or play it nightmare. The sliders in Dark Ages can be used to make the game really easy or really hard.

People saying everything is woke is just going to cause burnout. When something is actually woke no one will believe them.

This is the most stupid thing to associate wokeness with. People are just looking for something to complain about like the moralfags who see everything as being woke/from the devil nowadays.

Are we now calling things woke because of difficulty? Have people forgotten that wokeness is putting DEI and politics into video games? ID is the only western company I can think of that doesn’t put anything woke in their games.

Right. It’s the boy who cried wolf. I notice wokeness in a lot of games but I honestly could not tell you what is woke about Doom.

I believe one of the screens shared showed an ugly she-angel monster IIRC, but I can't recall at the moment. That might be what triggered woke alarms, but if you can kill her/it in-game, it should be fine, right?
What annoys me more is the RTX fad and Denuvo. Oh, and that price tag.

People are, ironically, way too sensitive to what they think is woke shit. The mere inclusion of female monsters is now a red flag? Wut?

DOOM Eternal had the Khan Maykr, not to mention a few of the enemies probably counted too.

Female enemies aren't the problem even if they were trannies in this game, the problem would be some emasculating NPC who keeps killstealing and who you have to accept.

There are woke things in games. A choice in difficulty is not one of them. Especially Doom which has had difficulty selection since 1993.

I have seen it in the past. But I have also seen people complain about difficulty options in games. Take the Souls player bas for example. They have tard fits if anyone even mentions putting a difficulty selection in those games. I don't have a problem with people choosing the difficulty level they play their games at. But some people do it seems.

Hi, does anyone know a Doom mod/wad/hack/whatever where you can talk to enemies and make alliances with them? :sonichu:
My question stems from this video, in the middle of it, the dude brings up a review where the retard reviewer complains that the game is too repetitive and absolutely needs a talk/alliance system.
Even as a joke it would be crazy to see something like that and I'm sure it exists, Minecraft, Gmod and Doom are like the holy trinity of games where there's literally a mod for everything. I'm sure there's even a mod that brings back multiplayer like shown in the vid.

How 'bout this? https://jp.itch.io/mr-friendly

Excuse me?
You never read the fever dream that was the novelisation of the first two game? Let me tell you it's about as wack as the infamous Doom comic. The first two sort of maybe follow the game, the last two is just some LSD philosophy about mormons, aliens and something about coexistence. Did I mention that there's mormons?

I liked the first 2, but the others are feel too disconected from the IP

The Doom 3 novel at least is consistent, even if, for example, they make the Imp closer to a monster from Outlast than Doom

Looking pretty cool, besides the Cyberdemon, something on the model just looks off to me. Well im gonna play it likely on december when is on sale anyway.

Been reading the Doom 3 novels (writen by the writer of the game), the are kinda weird, but not as bad as the 4 novels for the original games.

Sorry, had to. Anyways I think it looks alright. I do not care for the dragon crap at all and in the best timeline will be constrained to 2 levels like Halo Reach. So far what I've seen is that people who complain about how horizontal the layout and design is clearly did not play Classic Doom. I'll agree with people not caring for the aesthetic or the even larger insistence on story, but for gameplay you cannot really say you dislike it if you enjoyed Doom 1&2.
