Also, I think Colbert or someone started it because Trump’s grandfather had it changed or it was changed at Ellis Island. It’s a wierd sodomite practice where they think by not saying your name it gives them power.
IIRC it was John Oliver who kicked it off. Honestly I was suprised it caught on because fundamentally it is making fun of silly sounding last names immigrants have, but that was back in 2015/16 and I was young and dumb then... Also I just realized that retards show had been going on for 10 years...

did we cover the FCC announcement they're going Mouse Hunting?
We didn't. However, I'm glad. Iger deserves to be dragged for this. Disney just had a massive investor meeting where they doubled down and insisted they were never ending their DEI messaging or policies. They have no plans to stop their diversifying shilling regardless of the political climate. They're on the right side of history.

On a side note, I'm fully willing to believe Kathleen was going to retire but upon hearing all the jubilation of people online celebrating, she got completely tilted and decided she will stay in power until she's 90.

They're going to coast on Disney Plus profits for a long time.

Barack HUSSEIN Obama is fun to say though.
Rush Limbaugh would call Barry “Barack Hussein O. It flowed and it was funny.

Thing is, that’s Obamas real name on government documents and it fit nicely in with the Muslim attack and birther hubbub.

“Drumpf” is not even confirmed as the family’s historical name. It was just alleged and heavily implied since people changed names all the time when migrating. “Donald Drumpf” appears in zero modern name change court documents or immediate birth certificates of the Trump clan.

It’s just made up. Liberal attacks like this are gay and retarded and why the party is hemorrhaging voters.

I could crank out a thesis for Dems on “Why the left can’t meme”. It will cost you $20million and take 10 years to finish. 🙃

i don't think there are any profits from disney+. It was obscenely expensive to get set up and run and was losing money so bad they keep buying other streaming services like hulu and moving money around to make it look profitable.

I'm pressing a big fat X to doubt on this one, at least not without a major shakeup of their model. They keep overspending on getting the D+ exclusive shows made and then a mixture of poor quality and reputation leads to those shows getting fewer views than previous seasons of shows on other streaming services that have half the subscriber count. So yes, D+ has subs, but that's only after importing subscribers from Hulu and somehow HBO Max, and what those subscribers aren't providing is eyeballs on ads, which tanks the going rate for ads on the service, which is the real moneymaker on these things.

The bigger secret is if the executive decides to wipe its ass with Marbury v Madison its destroyed forever.

The check to the executive is the legistlature not the courts. The courts are supposed to toe break between the 2. They CANNOT beat both of them together. They are in reality the weakest of the 3 groups and their power is because the other 2 go along with them.

Trumps only danger right now are Rinos betraying him. Which is why them picking fights on this are so stupid.

The rinos have cover for some of the things but not this and if Trump tells the Supremes to get fucked over fetanyl dealers they wont do shit.
Question about judicial review. If a law that is unconstitutional is passed, isn't the point of the judicial is to, while reviewing the case regarding someone who was harmed due to the law, determine that the law is unconstitutional and therefore void? As a check on the legislative? If that's not what judicial review is then please correct me.

I don't think cash should ever stop being an option because it's easy and private but it is worth knowing that while bitcoin has zero privacy features there is crypto that has privacy features like shielded transactions.
This doesn't necessarily mean they're worth using right now, as they're still in their infancy but there are teams working on furthering privacy technology for the future.
The monero dude in the MATI streams would probably have Words about that.
Not sure if posted but the NY Fed increased their GDP forecast for Q1 to 2.86%
But.. I was told by everyone we'd be drowning in recession by now! The Blumpf economy would be a new Great Depression!

He revolutionized AM talk radio, but I don't know how. His show stunk. I guess it was a time and place thing.
a lot like Stern, he didn't necessarily do anything new, but he did it on an accessible mainstream platform so it was able to hit with a lot of people who probably would have preferred [that local guy who does it better] but he's everywhere

The check on legislatures passing unconstitutional legislation are lamp posts.

I think Deutsche bank refused to do service with Trump after Jan 6, but that's as much as I remember. Point is, they have many alternatives, and people practically throwing themselves at his feet to do business. That is not the case with people seriously affected by Mastercard's grip like Null.
Melania and Baron got debanked. It’s in her book if you want a source.

Unserved markets, with Stern it was mainly construction workers, with Limbaugh it was Conservative political analysis. Neither markets were well served by the FCC's policy on content, requiring fencesitting levels unimaginable to even Tim Pool viewers. Turns out the death of the fairness doctrine in '87 revealed major political thought markets had been nearly banned outright, with the proof openly available in the published ratings.

TL : DR Government regulation to do a thing, did the exact opposite of the stated goal.-The definition of government regulation.

Disney+ is not profitable. It won't be profitable for another few years. It was a 10 year loss before it became solvent and that was based on 2019 estimates. Disney knew this going in but had to make a landfall for streaming. It may or may not be worse off now. A lot of those estimates were based off the idea that Disney+ was going to be performing well. Instead, the platform is dying. Kathleen Kennedy has nuked Star Wars from orbit as an IP. The MCU streaming shows have all been various degrees of terrible and were expensive. Their movies are doing moderately well but that came at the cost of the theatrical releases. Then you had Scarlet Johansson's lawsuit that dealt Disney a devastating blow as now they had actually had to pay talent and couldn't get out of it. I don't think the shows are solvent. I think all the OG Disney+ shows were losses. I can't name a single good Disney+ show not named The Mandalorian. If Disney were to come out now and say Disney+ wouldn't be profitable until 2035, I'd wholeheartedly believe it. If anything, I think Disney+ has done more harm than good for Disney.

I grew up listening to Rush and he was always the most interesting thing on the radio except for maybe Coast to Coast. His show was cozy, complete with in-jokes, a slow moving personal narrative, and enough comedy to pierce the slog that is US politics.

That isn't to say he was perfect, looking back he had a MASSIVE blindspot and didn't really understand how pervasive the RINO mentality was in the Republican superstructure, but Rush primed the grass roots for the MAGA takeover of the Republican party.

Helps that he's dead too so I can never meet my metaphorical hero and be sorely disappointed.

Legend Of The Three Caballeros is pretty good, iirc that was an existing project that ended up there, though.

considering how much he shared shock jock dna with Stern it's kinda weird how shitpost conservatism hit a lot of people out of nowhere in more modern times
