My dad gets his information from MSM. He 100% thinks CNN, The Washington Post, and NPR are the least biased sources out there.
It's time you just sit your dad down and tell him something along the lines of the following:
"Dad, I think you're too old. The days where the MSM can be believed are over and done with. Young people, people my age, don't consume information this way. When you die, CNN, WAPO, NPR, NBC, ABC, etc., they're all going bankrupt. They won't exist. NOBODY my age listens to these people because they have been proven time and time again to be liars or spin artists. Everyone my age gets news directly from the source as it happens because in 2025, everyone is a journalist because everyone has a phone. They're getting news as it happens and compiled news from podcasts. MSM is completely obsolete and it WILL die someday soon. I don't care if you think these young people are dumb or not, it's the reality and you cannot change it.
The world you knew all your life is gone. It changed about 10-20 years ago and it is never coming back. If you're worried about DOGE, people my age love it and it's probably going to become a mainstay of government for the foreseeable future. If you're worried about America becoming isolationist and no longer having "allies", that's what my generation WANTS. They don't like Europe. They don't like the foreigners. They don't like Israel. They don't like Ukraine either. They also don't care if your IRA, 401k, or stock market is in the shitter. They have crypto and your failure is not their concern. They are laughing at you complaining about social security checks and will probably let social security fail and replace it in the future. Young people HATE your generation for ruining everything for them. Regardless of whether you believe that's true or not, it's true to them and they're young and running the world and you're on your way out the door. It is their world now. Not yours. I'm sorry, but this is something everyone goes through. It'll happen to me too someday. Things just change."
I understand where you're coming from, I had to explain what I said above to my parents. They didn't get it either, but now they do.
