Imo, the legal ruling and financial burden from it did play a role in Apollo Legend's suicide, even if he didn't say so himself. Stress increases both mental and physical pain, so it would be weird for it to not be a factor at all. But that is just my personal opinion. Jobst probably should have made it abundantly clear that he was stating an opinion, especially since he lives in a Cuckin'wealth Nation, though I don't remember exactly what he said. I remember reading an analysis of the trial saying that Jobst's lawyers could've been doing a better job arguing in his defense, particularly on the points about Apollo.
I agree, and I think if Karl has said something to the effect of 'Although it was never mentioned by Apollo, I'm sure the stress of the litigation was a factor in his declining health and suicide' then he'd probably be ok. But he claimed there was financial stress caused by a settlement sum paid, refused to change it when told there was no settlement, then buried his retraction in the back of a 30min video on other things, whilst also posting constant content that he'll never back down from what he's said about Billy.
He's unfortunately like a lot in the non-legal field, where they get blinded by a sense of moral righteousness, and don't realise the legal system is autistically uninterested in your moral claims, or big picture arguments. He felt because it was generally true that Billy is full of shit, and understandable to think getting sued didn't exactly make Apollo LESS likely to kill himself, that he was all good.
