Hell, back in the 1950s you could actually get a job at a factory. Reagan started shipping all of our industry overseas and any blue collar jobs left go to cheap foreign labor. Trump is still importing millions of immigrants from third-world countries to replace American workers. BUT! He's doing it "legally," so I guess that makes it okay. Young people today are forced to enter into what is essentially indentured servitude to get a college degree.
Where I live, good luck finding a US-born doctor under the age of 60. They're all Indian, Russian, and Chinese. This started when big corporations took over the healthcare system and the money that came with it. With the high cost of medical school and malpractice insurance, and the big money going to the corporate bosses, the ROI just isn't worth it anymore.
Personal friends have talked about this with me. Being a doctor just isn't worth it anymore. If you have the brains for it, you might as well go into business or tech, both being a lot less stressful and more lucrative.

Some people got really lucky during his first term, when a lie about a tariff war truce with China earned them billions. That wasn't the only time either, some Senators called for an investigation but it didn't go anywhere. The on-off tariffs during weekends, "not excluding a recession" (on a Sunday), and that Americans could feel pain (another Sunday) are suspect, but practically the standard now. I don't think that's the case, I assume it by default, how worse than rug-pulling your electors with some crypto can you get? Whether it's intentional or merely taken advantage of from people in the know is unknown.
