It is really horrible. Like with Tatty, I actually cannot totally blame Lena for being obsessively curious about vaginas from a young age when she and her sister were surrounded by "art" that prominently displays them in a very weird way. The holes/slits feel like the main focus on these paintings so of course a child would get some weird ideas from them or go looking for the weird mysterious hole.
