Part of the competency crisis, but I can't fault the left for this one.
Later Gen-Z grew up when someone else solved all their problems and put them into a nice little app or interface. They don't know how to solve anything on a computer that requires something beyond a button in an application. They don't know how operating systems work and technical solutions because they never had experienced it growing up. No skills to manually uninstall a virus and then repair the mainframe because they are relatively rare on smartphones and apple devices. This is my broad observation over the years.
Zoomers use ChatGPT, AI models and tiktok now more than google as a search engine. The reason for this is, google results are now all ads, Quora posts and reddit links. They use AI to bypass all the crap and get straight to the answer. There are going to be negative implications and behaviors from this but I have yet to see them beyond lack of knowledge. Gen-z has also become as susceptible to scams as boomers are.
