Absolutely wild teamup, Japan so absurdly pragmatic sometimes
Late, but you need to read past the headline, the very first paragraph states this info is from a "social media account affiliated with Chinese state media" which South Korea called exaggerated and Japan said there was no such meeting. For all I know, might just be some Chinese political grifter saying this.

Would be a pretty awesome team-up if it wouldn't fall apart after 5 minutes, though:story:

IMPORTANT:
“(The Americans) perceive us as a monkey with a grenade!”

(The Americans) know about our plans to blow up all the nuclear power plants, if Ukraine loses.

They are not taking away our property, but want to control the things that are dangerously to humanity.”

— Arestovich, former adviser to Zelensky’s office

Arestovich knows about it first hand since he was part of the Ukranian leadership.

Israel has lifted all tariffs on imported American goods. They don't want Israeli goods to be tariffed by the US.
JERUSALEM, April 1 (Reuters) - Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said on Tuesday he wants to immediately eliminate remaining tariffs on imports from the United States, a day before the Trump administration hits global trading partners with reciprocal levies.
a bit of coverage

If there is one thing Jews know...

Probably means the tariffs are a good idea.
Trying to figure out if this applies for cars or not. Israelis have to pay 13 percent VAT and 87 percent purchase tax on all cars. If this applies for cars, American cars would be twice as cheap in Israel as before.

maybe there's further developments over there but glancing around the English-speaking infowebs I'm seeing "The Guy says they should do it and they probably will"? So there's probably going to be some amount of finagling before it's done?

Newt's been going hard today
