Yeah I remember that too. Given that Drexel was planning on visiting Nick right before the arrest to stage an intervention, it probably wasn't about the coke. Drex cut off Nick before the kid's positive cocaine test so it probably wasn't about that either. I bet Drexel reached out to Nick concerned about all the wife swapping allegations and Nick reassured Drexel that the rumors were fake.

Drexel planned to visit Nick after he saw the cokestream and reached out to Camelot331 to join him in investigating if things were as bad as they appeared. The trip was moot due to the arrest, but Drexel and Camelot331 stayed in touch as things unfolded. Then the hair follicle test happened and Drexel took a "way more violent position" than Camelot331. That seems to have been the cutoff point.

It sounds less like an intervention and more like reconnaissance since (as Camelot331 claims) they didn't know if it was as bad as it looked in the cokestream. Keep in mind that Camelot331 already knew that Nick spent 20k/month on cocaine. Also, Drexel didn't have a problem with Nick getting blackout drunk (even when Nick's daughter had to get Drexel to finish the stream), despite his stance against alcohol. Regardless, it was the hair follicle test results for Nick's child that made Drexel lose any sympathy for Nick.

From what has been disclosed, wife-swapping allegations don't seem to be why Nick was finally cut off. As for the reasons why Drexel and Nick drifted apart prior, here is a link to a breakdown of why it happened. Big factors included Drexel's own schedule making it difficult to meet during the school year (not just Nick's kids) and getting owned so hard by KF that he deleted his Discord just as Nick and co. were settling into their qover (when Nick was already pulling away from everyone else too).

Look - I know he banged that girl that grew up viewing him as a sort of uncle figure and how degenerate it is, but I also sincerely think Drexel was really fond of Nick's kids (no not that way) and was protective of them.

I'd go a step further. As I understand it, Drex has kids and his kids have been over to Rekieta's house and played with Rekieta's kids.

I'd guess that Drex discovered drugs in the house similar to the kind of bullet that Aaron found. Nick then proceeded to lie and claim it was the nanny's drugs or some excuse that made Drex give him the benefit of the doubt. After the arrest, it became clear Nick had drugs in his home when Drex had his kid over. That was a Drex deal breaker. Friendship over.

To say that it was the swinging that caused their friendship to fracture simply can't be true. It was the substance abuse around children. Consider the timing. Drex was consistently defending Nick (and throwing shade on Null and the Farms) right up until the arrest happened and the CHIPS report leaked. Then he bolted for the door. Just like most old school Balldoguards with at least two brain cells to rub together did.

Drex doesn't care about Nick, or any other man, getting his freak on.

I think you might be slightly misremembering. Drex seems to know a lot about Hedonism and it's fair to say from the clip in the post below that he probably told Nick about it... and possibly attended at some point. Post by 200MB back on Sept. 1, 2023:
