She should go back to Nick. She was so much skinnier back then.
Correction: he was way better at Photoshop than Tess. He was averagely talented as a fat fetish photographer, and pretty good with post production - he always gave her the hourglass body she braggged about (which only existed digitally.) Her social media pics took a nosedive after he fucked off back to AUS, especially after she exhausted her supply of freebies from local photographers and hair / makeup gays.

Tess wants fashion to represent "real" plus size women like this dumbass Netflix show. But those "real" characters on screen still have perfect skin, perfect hair, tailored clothes and accessories, no poverty other than romantic-TV poverty, no diabetes, no debilitating joint pain. They're 250 lbs at most, they're black but not too black, etc.

Tess: If you want 400 lbs models in magazines, it's possible that might happen someday. But they'll be 20 yrs old, not 40 yrs old. You're done. It's over.

Counterpoint: Pat Ast. But Pat was by all accounts incredibly charming and an out-of-this-world saleswoman / promotional artist. She didn't need to be a fake lesbian to get in good with the high fashion gays.

What does this mean?
Are people really getting mad that someone like Anok Yai is getting attention, or does "too black" mean shit like IShowSpeed?
No, it means that when they want to depict a fashionable superfat model, she's won't ALSO be very dark skinned. They'll make the superfat completely middle-of-the-road in other qualities such as skin tone. The Netflix character gets one defining unusual feature, that's it.

Back in 2021-2023 or so, you got the superfat darkskinned transperson rolling around in a wheelchair speaking Spanish with a lisp. But that was an anomaly in casting and entertainment.

What is this obsession with being "seen" and "represented"? Is that from people watching too much TV and not having their own life outside of their Netflix addiction? Honestly, the only criteria for a character that I'm interested in is are they annoying and can I handle watching them. I've never once in my 52 years ever thought that a character should be relatable or mirror me in any way at all, from my interests, sex, body shape, tastes or background. Never even given that a second of consideration when choosing something to watch. How boring and vain do you have to be to demand your entertainment to be a reflection of who you are or think you are? That's such a tedious, one dimensional way of looking at the world. In Tess' case she can just glom onto anything now that she's telling the world that she's an anorexic dyke. Wouldn't shock me at all if she started identifying as Black.

Tess would love nothing more than to be transracial. However she knows that would never fly. So she has to pretend she has naturally curly hair, which is a lie, and that she’s secretly Italian, which is a lie.

In Tubby Tess’s case, it’s just a hope that her gigantic ass can get picked over someone more qualified. Most of these diversity cons are people who lack discipline and work ethic wanting to move to the front of the line.

she looks like absolute dogshit in both pictures i dont understand her point. im retarded? the internet finally broke my brain?
It's the ol' Tessy Classic:
"Fuck your beauty standards! ...Except makeup, hair, clothing, nails, basically everything but body size."
