Supposedly it’s an XMen Origins: Wolverine deal where a pre-post production copy was sent to reviewers and to theatres according to what I am seeing on Twitter. There’s a 4chan thread showing screen shots. Those are real. Some are the work-in-progress and some are the final both look awful.

I stand by my earlier point, but stronger now. The schizo "Super heroes and minecraft-Movie" looks bizarrely better than this on top of being made on like a budget of probably nothing by some bosnians just fucking around outside their house.

I just checked and saw the director of Napolean Dyanmite is the director for this.
If you’ve seen Napolean Dynamite or his other movie Gentleman Broncos, I think he wants to lean in on to the shitty low budget feel and campiness as much as possible.
Don’t think that’s going to work with a major Blockbuster for a large IP

Mine Craft is the one video game without any plot/story/lore at all. I doubt Hollywood can jump this hurdle, when they fucked up so many game movies who had an actual story.

There is another thread with webms or mp4s of the unfinished version of what I can describe as Jack Black and Jason Mamoa 69ing in order to fly from Ghasts and what I assume are Zombie Pigmen.
Honestly, the animation and cinematography are still terrible. I enjoy the unfinished version more because it has a quality of being so bad it’s good, while the finished is just bad.

Edit: they also have title screens saying TBD for the writers. I also like the font in the unfinished version more. It’s truer to Minecraft.

I watched the movie with my roommate and it's so fucking bad, it's genuinely just shit happening between trailer shots. The black woman feels like she was added in in post and reshoots she's such a nothing character, all of them are but she's not even important to the plot. She's a real estate agent for the kids... Who are renting a place. Then at the end she opens up a petting zoo. That's the extent of her character.

Nah, it’s India. That’s where the low caste servants live. They have 20 of them come in every day to make lunch for them via some disgusting Rube Goldberg mechanism. They only need 5, but more people feels more impressive.
This is seriously what I hate most about Indians. They will make a two man job a thirty man operation. The British actually complained this. How Indians would try to hire people in order to feel more important and have people under them for jobs that only needed one or two people.

Saw the unfinished full film via camrip and man this movie sure existed. It's really inoffensive stuff that I guess is perfectly meant for the target audience. I at least expected some moments that were so bad that they're funny which came in small bursts with Jason Momoa and Jack Black, but this was otherwise meh.
I do think those that call this the worst film of the year though are out of their minds because The Electric State is far far worse than this.
