One Piece - I'm Gonna Be the Pirate King!

By the end I started to get the feeling Luffy was doing it on purpose...
Stupidity or malice? Hard to tell at times with Luffy.

I think what probably doesn't help is that the Strawhats currently with him are indifferent to it and the giants are completely fine with Loki being tortured.
I do think Luffy meant well. If Luffy felt malice towards Loki, he would not have tried helping him in the first place. That is just who he is.

It's likely the Fruit making Luffy comically injure Loki.
That is Unironically my theory on every "Luffy does something retarded in the funniest way possible"

Inner Luffy : "Huh legs replaced with fins..I wonder if they poop?"
Nika : "You Should Ask her!"

Inner Luffy : "Setting fire to the tree was mean..but he is hurt so I shouldn't be too hard on him"
Nika : "You should feed him, he probably hasn't had anything to eat in a while and is really hungry"

I’m still banking on Joy Boy just being Luffy if he wasn’t a complete idiot.

Nah Luffy isn't an idiot kid is pretty smart, he just has no time for shit he doesn't think is important.
I think he has that little friend on his shoulder that occasionally gives out bad advice cause it's funny.

His own personal Bam Magera.

Well, its been six months. The anime is back. I can't wait to see what amazing changes they made to the quality of the animation. I wonder if they animated the fight between the Seraphim and the Straw Hats that the manga skipped over. I'm so excited....

Its just the same old shit.

i was under the impression they never wanted to improve anything and that was just an excuse because the anime was catching up to the manga too fast so they needed to take a break to give some time for the manga to get done with egghead.

Whatever floats your boat, buddy. I’m just waiting for folks to go crazy when the Gorosei reveal their demon forms animated.

i also imagine vegapunks message to the world is going to be a very big deal as well.
Considering that’s when we first see Joy Boy, I wonder if it’ll be handled like Imu complete with an “unknown and uncredited VA” (and good luck trying to find a VA for the dub that’ll honor an NDA, assuming AI is out of the picture with all the strikes against it).

Here's a fun new challenge, create a new One Piece arc that is AS CONGRUENT with canon as possible.

I'll go first: After managing to get far enough away from their pursuers in Tottaland, the Straw Hats who are with Luffy (Nami, Sanji, Chopper, and Brook), along with Carrot, suddenly find their ship, the Thousand Sunny, to be stuck in an eerie fog, not unlike the one surrounding the Florian Triangle… Attacked by a sudden rain of poisoned arrows, Captain Luffy decides to quickly send Nami, Sanji, Chopper, and Carrot all away to safety on the Mini Merry, with Luffy telling Nami to set course for their true destination in Wano Kuni, and that Luffy and Brook, who sorrowfully recognizes the poisonous arrows, will stay behind to hold off their attackers… Taking a hard steer of the ship, the duo of rubber man and revived man end up unconscious, ultimately waking up to find themselves on the shores of a strange, star-shaped island, not unlike that of the mysterious Thriller Bark two years ago…

After looking around for a bit, and almost being bitten by some weird zombie-like people in the inland forests, the two are pulled to safety by none other than good ol' Franky, the Straw Hat's famous shipwright! Along with Franky are Robin and Usopp, with the three going on to explain to Luffy that they were separated from Zoro and Law during an attack by the World Government affiliated Warlord crew, the "Bloody Knight Pirates", on the way to Wano and as such, have been stuck here for a little while with the rest of the Heart Pirates. After explaining the details of how they managed to rescue Sanji from his arrangement on Whole Cake Island, and that he, along with Nami, Chopper, and Carrot have all been sent to Wano on the Mini Merry to meet up with Law and Zoro, everyone briefs a sigh of relief and contemplation, as they all plan what to do next, as the Bloody Knight Pirates are on the hunt, and it looks like fresh blood has just stumbled into their territory…

This sounds like fun. At what point do we start from? Because I think we could reach a full on point where we could complete the story and just spend the rest of the time seeing how accurate predictions turned out being.

Well, my arc is designed to basically give Franky, Usopp, and Brook a new power up as well as further hint at Joyboy earlier. Vampires are a new race introduced to the series in my arc, and the likes of Black Maria and Mihawk are retconned into them, with Law and Cavendish being dhampirs. The biggest change to canon for my "Countess Island" arc is that Robin is permanently turned into a vampire herself by the arc's villain, with her using her abilities in later canon fights like the one with Black Maria on Onigashima.
