I am a huge astrophysics nerd if you couldn't tell
I am big on space stuff too, maybe not to the same degree, but to add onto this "for the lulz".
You'd basically have to be god himself to make mars livable in the time Elon says he is going to do it.

Because ignoring heat, atmosphere, sun protection, oxygen whatever, you'd also have to have a ecosystem, on a similar level to earths, in order to grow food or take care of animals (let's not even get into the logistics of sending ANIMALS to mars, we haven't even gotten a dog in our orbit without it dying. RIP Laika, or if we have gotten animals to our orbit and landed them safely on earth, I am unaware of it.)

But I digress, to make a ecosystem, let's assume the size of a continent, self-contained within a bio-dome, it'd still take decades, to have it grow and cultivate to the level it needs to be at, most likely without any outside help, as we would want to terraforming mars BEFORE putting people or animals on it.

Which means we basically need to build a bio-dome, with robots, plant millions of seeds (we don't even have collected yet) with robots, and hopefully this bio-dome just happens to have enough of the atmosphere to grow, cultivate, and weather all the plants (which I am just talking fuckin' grass) let's not forget, as you mentioned, this is assuming the robots operate all of this without fault, which can only happen if they are built to withstand the trip, and withstand DECADES of living on mars.
Let's also not forget the fact this biodome needs to be built to allow spacecrafts inside, at least ideally, so that means when the biodome opens the ecosystem has to be strong enough to survive whatever change in pressure or whatever that causes.

And to top it all off,, after all that hard work, at money, resources, all that, at that point you could've just spent that on LITERALLY ANYTHING else, here, on earth, (I'm fairly certain he had the opportunity to end, or at least put a massive dent in world hunger, but he funded some stupid bullshit instead) and have more of impact on humanity because none of this work will mean shit to any of us, we'll be dust in the ground before Mars is livable let alone with people on it.

I hope if Elon does die, his legacy goes with him almost immediately. All his cocksucking, dickriding, retarded ass supporters are quite possibly my biggest contribution to my hate for Elon Musk.

As for Trump, I hope he dies within' the decade, mainly because it'd be easily top 3 for funniest days on the internet. When he was almost assassinated, it was one of, if not the funniest days for me when I was browsing the internet.

And final comment, maybe, about Elon Musk and Mars, even if he does pave the way to terraforming mars. He ain't living to see it finished, a cosmic fuck-you from the universe lmao.

I remember watching a video about just how much it would actually take to fully terraform mars, and put it to near or equal to Earth status for living.
the way things are looking, mars in its current state is probably more habitable than this shithole planet. donny's pet retard would somehow make mars even more toxic to humans

I'm optimistic we'll get to Mars but not in our lifetimes ans Musk is not the one who will get us there. We should at least know if it's habitable enough for bacteria. Hell, if you need to terraform anything, we have a desertification problem right now.

, we haven't even gotten a dog in our orbit without it dying.
Not to be that guy but they've literally sent dogs into space that survived. The first dogs, that survived in space: Belka and Strelka.

From a quick Google search many plants and animals have been sent to space and came back

"Those 2 dogs were accompanied by 40 mice, two rats, and some plants. They all made it back in one piece"

"
The first animals to go to the Moon were two tortoises, who flew on Zond 5 in 1968, along with some worms, flies, and plants.

They circled the Moon and came back to Earth after a week-long journey. They survived the trip, but lost about 10% of their body weight due to starvation. They were later donated to a zoo in Sri Lanka.

The first animals to go to deep space and circle the Moon were five mice, who flew on Apollo 17 in 1972, along with some pocket mice and insects.

They orbited the Moon 75 times in a special module attached to the command module.

They all survived the trip and returned to Earth after 12 days. They were later euthanized for scientific purposes"

They also got tardigrades but that's kinda cheating.

Edit: Also it says that specific dog was never meant to return as their shuttle has no return systems.

We already got to mars multiple times already.
Just take a look at all the rovers , landers and satellites currently orbiting it this right instant.
If by "getting to mars" you mean sending a person in. Then that is also possible, just not for the time being. Currently nasa is still figuring out how to deal with problems like lunar dust, getting shielded from the sun among other things, for the artemis mission.
Once that is done, i dont see why they couldnt use such technology and research to not try to get a man on mars.
Now, if i got it all wrong and by "getting to mars" to you means to somehow terraform it and grow a civillization.
While at the same time ignoring all human effort currently done to research mars and labeling it as "not the real deal"
Then i must say, you are a retard.

Thank you for this info.

All I knew about animals to space was Laika, and even then I knew very little about that whole thing.

So animals to mars is more realistic than I thought, very cool.

Here's hoping we do get to mars, maybe even living there, and here's more hopong Musk has nothing to do with it.

I figured I didn't need to mention the rover because that's something everyone should know by now.
> not for the time being
Which is what I'm saying. What's the issue here? Musk's current plan is unrealistically optimistic.

Does he still get money from Elon? Because it's one thing to talk shit if you have absolutely nothing to do with him. But if you're getting your bills paid and talking shit than you're a coward.
As many have pointed out. No. In fact, I believe the first public thing Vivian ever said was that she has cut all ties.

these shysters won't hesitate to backstab elon once he's no longer useful. there will be a flood of embarrassing stories about drug use/plastic surgery/autistic reeing/broke dick
I agree because getting involved in politics is always like that, but hasn't there already been a flood of embarrassing stories about Elon already?

true, but I think there's still a big difference between secondhand info from aealia banks and engaging the full political machine. imagine fox talking about his drug use 24/7 or how his companies are crashing because he's a secret libtard or whatever. he'll neck himself
