The Economic Collapse of 2025 - Are you tired of winning yet?

You did not answer my question. How is the US 'footing the bill' exactly?

Who would have thought that i would live to see the united states grow so well off and prosperous that it self destructed out of boredom.

There will be books written on this theme of decadence. But they will be written in Chinese
Yeah yeah, we're simultaneously losing to China slowly by doing nothing, and we'll lose against them by fighting back. Manufacturing is never coming back. No matter what anyone does, it's over, forever and always. We should just roll over and die. How did we even get so strong to begin with! Must've been a fluke!

Guys don't you see? Everything will be fine the world will just move on from the United States, you know, the worlds most consumerist country? Yeah I mean it makes sense just to go to other markets right? Oh wait, you're telling me that those markets are already tapped? What do you mean 43% of Nintendo revenue came from the US and only 25% came from all of Europe combined? They'll just sell more Nintendo shit to make up for the loss of half their business of course! AT least we know China will be a great trade partner, just ask the US... Oh nevermind, but they can just sell their stuff to India because india has 1.2 billion people waaaayyyyy more than the US! What do you mean that would be an 85% reduction in profit? Huh? Indians mostly live in abject poverty with some of the most worthless currency? I gueess it might be a little difficult to work around the worlds richest country, who buys more than everyone else from everyone else.

It is not that people like it. But if you vacate the seat someone else is going to park their arse in it. And you've got the EU and China busy working their arses off to replace you (China as world power and EU as the top Western power).

I'm not cheering this on but that is the reality. They're only taking what you're giving them.
You can have it all. Our Empire of Dirt.

I think it was because they retaliated with their own tariffs.
Correct, we started it by raising ours to be closer to their tariffs on us, they raised theirs in retaliation, and Trump slapped on an additional 50% for now as punishment (hitting 104% total) and it will likely just be used in negotiations later.

We trade with both countries, except Cuba's exports are exempted goods, and Iran exports foodstuff.

You could google this too dumbfuck

The tariffs you're wondering aloud about are in the total of MILLIONS of dollars. There are single private transactions between individuals that are larger than the entire annual Cuban export to the US.
Google AI slop, there haven't been official diplomatic relations with Iran since before most of you guys were born, everything goes through proxies, just like Cuban cigars and tourism goes through Canada.
