My best bet is that Google themselves are the culprits, not "detractors" like he's probably hoping for simply so he can go "look look look, they're after me!" Dude barely has a dime to his name, yeah?

I wonder how his request for fans to demand YT to be good to him/leave his channels alone/give him munny/whatever went anyway.

If I worked hard all my life, built a name and a reputation and a solid career, and had enough money to retire. And I stumbled on my only son's twitch stream and watched him complaining for an hour that he's in crippling debt before he struggled (and failed) to get a nintendo game running, I'd change my name, move away and leave no connections back to my old life. I'd also drink heavily every day to help ignore the nagging question, "Was I history's worst parent, or was my kid just always hopeless?"

If his parents are sending him Christmas money every year to buy gifts for himself, and flying cross-country to do his housework, I don't think its a leap to think they cosigned on one or more of his "I'm totally an adult *snort*" life upgrades.

In his BotW playthrough so far he has done nothing but try to go to parts of the map restricted until you level up and failing.

Not only hypocritical, but I think that was straight copyright infringement - doing that would give Phil (and his then-partner Machinima) a genuine cause to go apeshit claiming videos and shutting down TIHYDP videos. He was at some point complaining that "detractors" were just monetizing out of his back.

Who actually cares though? It might have meant Machinima had a right to claim Ardnas' videos but if they had the ability to claim all TIHYDP they'd have done it long before Ardnas did anything. Okay Ardnas made maybe 10 dollars a month on advertisements from those videos (if even, since they claimed they never monetising anything), that doesn't magically make it not autistic and petty to make lengthy drama podcasts on the situation.

The whole thing was a drama fest and made everybody involved look bad. They can complain about Ardnas monetising videos all they want but it's obvious the main reason the went after Ardnas was because they couldn't stand someone who wasn't part of their club getting some notoriety for spending their days covering DarksydePhil. If that doesn't tell you how over obsessive most of these people are in the SOK I don't know what does.

Don't get me wrong, some of them are interesting in their DSP coverage and highly informative (Drgnkiller's Twitter page is probably the best place for DSP coverage online) but that doesn't mean it's wrong to criticise them for how autistic they behave.

The thing with arndas just felt pointless from beginning to end - what was it meant to accomplish? Sating egos? Being upset about monetization? It just ended with people being needlessly mad and upset at each other over the most petulant of reasons

"His own personal GameFAQs" is probably the most apt and the best description I have ever seen of Phil's relationship with his fans. It is almost like buying a game guide that asks you how to play the game and is constantly begging you for more money for features that should be free. And the guide will conveniently ignore your advice and then call you lazy if your tips seem too difficult for it to accomplish.

To point out a few things, Ardnas was a she, turn the name around (hint!!!)( hint!!!)

Another thing SoK reacted to was that she was monetizing her videos of Phil, along with using Drgnkiller tweets without asking him.
She wasn't uploading his videos straight off, but cut out pieces of and posted them, like DipShitPhil does.

Ardnas got taken out by the same tactic that Jackie Chin used on Phil. Some dude made intros for her and then used copyright strikes. She (childishly?) blamed it on the SoK because of previous criticism. I don't think they were involved but they sort of made the backlash worse by semigloating about it.

I really don't mind either of them. Yes, Ardnas was guilty of many of the same sins of phil. Her vids were lazy and yes maybe she did monetize them and she ended up falling to the same copyright tactics as phil but ironically the sheer quantity of material she put out filled a niche. I think she's back as Snort Burnell and her new channel is one of my go to places to watch Phil's antics because of her better coverage. I still wouldn't want low effort vids to flood youtube and I'd like her to make more elaborate stuff but she's actually kind of funny now putting in a modicum more effort than many other detractors although she still won't win any awards for fanciness.

Sons of Kojima is alright to. Getting mad at them for being obsessed with Phil is like getting mad at Trekkies or hardcore StarWars fans. Thats basically what they are. They are kind of complementary to Snort. I fire up one of Snort's vids when I want to catch the latest Phil flailing or a quick laugh and I put on an SOK analysis vid if I have a long day and I would like an indepth breakdown of the psychology of Phil playing in the background. I heard that they jealously guard their turf as the 'premier' dsp detractors and they drove out kingofdivas who was a very funny detractor. I dunno, thats kinda bs if they did but I personally haven't seen them do anything all terrible.

Tevin is not in the SOK, like at all, they have nothing to do with him. He has done super autistic 10 hour streams of watching Phil and Panda Lee, SOK haven't.

The "ardnas fiasco" was them criticizing him for posting straight reuploads without any editing and then calling Phil a lazy moneywhore with ads placed on it. I don't know about you, but I think that's pretty hypocritical. He wasn't making fun of Phil differently, he was posting straight reuploads with clickbait titles.

I would think the reason why SOK gets mentioned here is because it is a Phil thread and they cover Phil stuff. If you don't like them, cool that's you opinion. If you're mad at other people because they don't dislike them the way you do, you're autistic.

But then the SoK gets mad when ardnas uses footage from other SoK videos and adding her own edits in? Sounds like the SoK are the ones full of hypocrisy, dude. They probably got some of DSP's jealousy too, that more people were watching her stuff and she was making money off of it then they were. Maybe the SoK have made fun of Phil so much that they are turning into him? That would be interesting.

Duing Prestream: Phil has "evidence" that someone is fucking with his YouTue channel. He cannot reveal this "definitive evidence." But he has now confirmed what apparently "others were telling him for months."

He also claimed to have hard proof of DDoS a few years back, and of perjury & defamation during the copyright strikes. Remember how he took his evidence to the police and got those dang dirty trolls thrown in prison? Yeah me neither.

Phil is physically incapable of shutting the fuck up or backing down, to the point that he got fired by Machinima. If he had proof, he would have already blabbed about it on every social media outlet he's got. My guess is, he's either hyping up a routine e-mail or is trying to guilt his viewers into giving him more pitybux.

I still think the main problem with this ardnas person is that she was monetizing Phil's videos. He may be an incompetent bufoon and all, but I'll grant him that his videos are his to make money; random people doing monetized videos of his are something I find douchy at minimum, and something he would be totally in the rights to complain about. Of course, it wouldn't be the first time some a-log do that to him, since he got swatted and everything.

Now, Dragonkiller complaining about people "using" his tweets without his holy-moly permission is anal-retentive as it can be. Dude, chill out, you're a fucking nobody on the internet retweeting stuff from DSP. Who gives a fuck? Just be flattered that people even pay attention and "use" your stuff.
