Just no. The lawyer said they COULD win. Possibly. The risk is being convicted of a felony. Jury would have heard all of the people except Geno and Keanu. They would have been shown the livestream. And they would have had the choice of guilty of felony, guilty of misdemeanor or not guilty. The reality is that it's obvious he shared it so a jury would already be on "guilty" just deciding on felony or misdemeanor. The plea deal takes the felony AND jail AND a public trial off the table. It's a smart decision.

We can armchair the "prosecution can't prove...." game w/o Geno/Keanu testifying but at the end of the day, it's a jury that decides the facts and they may not need Geno/Keanu to conclude guilt. It's a heck of a gambit to risk felony over $50. A misdemeanor plea conviction isn't going to hurt his job prospects more than a public felony trial where the facts are obvious.
