This method of story telling is so flat and is fitting for children's shows but not really for any of the serious shit they're trying to tell. I think it's a lack of consuming media with decent writing. I'm sorry you guys, harry potter is fine for its targeted audience, but the writing in it is so shit when you look back at it from an older perspective.
To be a good writer you have to consume good works from those who have came before you. Expanding your mental pallet is probably one of the best things you could do for yourself if you want to write a show or movie.

People miss a time that will never return. A time before the internet was in your face 24/7 and media wasn't so dogshit. The good media can just be sniped from a platform with a snap of a finger and with no way to preserve it beside pirating. I want to support creators but god damn do these platforms make it irritating. The day DVD's completely die will be a dark day. Imagine your hard work just being sacked from the face of this earth for no reason at all.

The animation is nice, sure. But I still have no idea what this show is about or why I should care about any of the characters or what they're doing. I've watched the pilot teaser a few times over the last 3 years and it's just a mess. But idk. Does anyone here actually like what it's about? It just feels like another indie animation project for the audience of "college-aged indie animation enthusiasts" instead of an actual... you know... audience. Or an audience of people with money for that matter.

I had to stop the video because the constant self-deprecating comments were grating. Why would you do that in a video meant for potential investors? To seem self-aware? Then either change your ideas, or just own them. If I were an investor, I wouldn't want anything to do with a project when its own creators act like it's a red-headed stepchild. If I had to guess, the cartoon community and millennials funded it. That's the target audience, but whether or not it comes through is anyone's guess.

Funny enough, I just read an argument like that. In this case, when everyone's equally terrible, maybe it's worth it to push your strengths and have some faith in yourself? When everyone's terrible, that's not a reason to stay bad, that's another reason to get good. Everyone's talked about Asians plenty here, and the opposite extreme isn't good, but there's a reason everyone from little Timmy to his college student brother Max is flocking to them.

I try not to be a huge stickler over this sort of thing, but... man.

Also, yeah the self-deprecating comments are really bad. How am I supposed to believe these characters are the heroes of their own story if the people creating them are directly insulting them? "HAHA, I HATE MYSELF" ahh Millennial humor.

I'll be blunt here, current animated shows are so bad only because of the gay shit in the scripts. That's it, no other reason. Cut down 80% of the fujo fanfic writing and suddenly even HB and HH will become better. Because, suprise-suprise, once you get rid of the boring cliche "he is like that because of his enormous cock-lust towards this other guy!!!" or "uwu she is just such an ackward useless lesbian you guyz", you'll actually have to use your tiny coomer brain to explore characters and their motivations beyond your typical tumblr gay headcanon shitpost.

Fujos, yuricucks and sjw fags have ruined art. Finding an animator or artist who isn't one of them is like searching for a straw in a pile of dirty needles. I wish so much for TFD sometimes.
