So, another game about "ThE eViLs Of CoRpOrAtIoNs" made by people working for said corporations, with cushy, well-paid jobs the vast majority of humans can only dream of.
More importantly, who the fuck is this game even for? It's certainly not the hero shooter crowd, the character designs are ghastly and you can't goon to any of the characters, it's not the Tarkov crowd since it lacks the realism and gun porn, and it's not the general audience since the art direction is somehow worse and more generic-looking than Concord.
I look at the promo material and gameplay trailers and try to imagine what significant demographic would drop whatever multiplayer slop they're currently playing and jump onboard and come up blank.
Most probably haven't read or watched any GITS and their knowledge begins and ends with "the Major is hot" and "that rumor she's actually a dude" and ignore the fact the Major, in all her iterations, spends a lot of time trying to come to grips with the horrifying nature of her existence.
GITS is trying to tell a story about technology steadily eating away at our humanity, replacing flesh with metal, until it begins to take over our minds and souls as well, and all troons can do is get excited at the dystopia it presents because they can wear a woman's body like a skinsuit.
