Postmortem Blinded by the Light

In dark mode, a list of thread alternates between having a dark grey and a not so dark grey background. The contrast here is too high, and more specifically the lighter grey is too light, making the text uncomfortable to read.

Also, it gives the impression that the threads with light grey background are unread, and the darker ones have been read already. This is not the actual functionality (that's reserved for the colored dot/circle), but it gives this impression.

My solution would be to make both backgrounds darker, but also less distinct. The difference in light mode is more subtle and comfortable (as much as light mode can be).

Small shit that doesn't matter too much, but the button on the "Page could not be loaded" page is blue.

The Post Reply and Attach files buttons both look different and it pisses me off for some reason
Other than that, the new site looks great.
also there's a border on the bottom of the preview button that's there for no reason please remove it

I have conducted routine maintenance. It went pretty well, all things considered, until I accidentally deleted the Dark Theme. So now I have to redo the themes. A good excuse as any to freshen things up a bit, it's been like 4 years since the last time i updated the theme.

If anything is BROKEN (as in, does not work) please let me know. If things are so ugly it's literally unusuable, also let me know. If things are just ugly -- trust me, I know.

P.S. You now see DMs in people's profiles. These DMs are DMs you can see. This is not leaking to the public.

P.P.S. XenForo stores themes in the database without version control. It is not possible to Git themes. It is not possible to restore them. Only a database rollback was an option and I'd rather just fix it.

Please DO NOT make a post about an issue until it exists for 5 minutes.

Most of the existing theme color alternatives are now available in the style chooser. They now all also support light and dark variations, including Stealth. I have added a High Contrast theme which is pure black.
The highlight background colour in the notifications tab is too bright for the dark themes. Consider making the new base background colour darker, and use the current base background colour be the new highlight background colour instead.

I'm weirdly into this new theme, though links at the bottom are whited out in most themes. Text on red tags is also basically unreadable in high contrast theme.

The main thing I've noticed so far that irks me a bit is that stupid scroller bar thing at the top of the page. Maybe I'm just not used to it yet, but my general opinion at the moment is...shitsux dood, pls fix.

Pic related, obviously.

Probably late as hell but wouldn't it be possible to at least keep the color palette in a .txt or .json or whatever format of your choice and keep it in git repo? Sure, the theme may be gone, but at least you can replicate the colors

Maybe? Can set text to right align so its lined up and a better use of space. I don't remember how it was previously so this could just be my brain referencing that.
Move the dates to the right, and maybe make them smaller and more gray. Something like rgb(180, 180, 180) for color and 0.85rem for font size.

A vaporwave/Windows 9x theme would slap so fucking hard

If you're wanting things changed, now's your time to ask for it.

I actually like the new UI, feels sleek and the things I was going to bitch about seem to be fixed by now. Only things that bother me are that some clickable parts aren't "color coded" properly, having the text be white instead of green, like with the "Click to expand..." text on quotes.
