I liked Two Worlds.
People made fun of the horse riding in the game but it was the most fun thing in it. Ride into the sunset, circle around enemies in an 8 pattern like you're iceskating, smite 'em down from horseback and feel like a hero. Ride around the map to find points of interest and forget about the main quest. Take a trip into the Harsh Northlands (because every RPG has to have Harsh Northlands) then in the same day ride down to tropical faux-Asian bamboo forest.
I also liked the Roman aesthetic of the imperial cities. I can't say I've seen Ancient Romans in medieval Europe before. And there's a friggin' samurai city right next to them, that was cool.
The Skelden/Karga names I swear were lifted from some obscure fantasy book series, or maybe a SF short story, but for the life of me can't remember which.
Something like 90% of the special skills you could spend your levelups on, like polearm speciality letting you unmount enemies (in a game with exactly 0 enemies on horseback) were absolutely useless and I think meant for multiplayer which nobody played lol. Any kind of build outside of sword&board, like magic or archery, was so worthless you wonder if there was any playtesting at all.
It's slavjank Oblivion but I had more fun playing it than Oblivion.
